Found these growing off the track in some leaves: Smoothe to touch, stem is brown.




Found these growing in moss, top is very slimey to touch.

^^These are Cortinarius rotundisporus and are toxic so do not consume.


The others we need more info like spore print. Could be a Hebeloma in there though, not sure.

Can someone please point out the identifying factors of the Subs? Would like to do another trip there on the weekend and would like to know what to look for if we come across them again.

That blue-purplish hue is their natural color. There are no active Cortinarii, but there are deadly ones.

That's what I figured. Yes I've id'd corts and I know that they contain deadly specimens just wasn't sure with these. Thanks GK.
