Okay, I wouold like everyone to post a picture of their favorate shroom hunting location. You do not hav e to name the place but it should be a picture of your favorate field, etc.
This is one of my favorate picking locations. It was a little rainy and the clouds were all over the sky, looming like a dark harbinger over the lush green Isle.
Then Lo and Behold, just like in the bible, a rainbow appeared before my very eyes.
This is another view and direction of the Large field at the muslim village of Ban Hua Thanon: Home of the BHT (also known as the KIS and T3 strain.
While I have posted different areas It has a most surreal look to this vast field, I have never posted from this direction to what you see here you before you.
It was in this very field where the king cube and Psilocybe samuiensis Guzm?n, Bandala and allen was discovered by me in 1991 and again in 2001.
HEre is a picture of the King Cube. This is the original shroom from the Hawkseyewhich all of the ban Hua Thanon shrooms were grown from the spores of this King Cube.
Mr. Jak picked this shroom himself and had just came home when I arrived to go collecting for prints.
Here is another imae of it at my bungalow for display with a roll of toilet paper for size.
And where I found psilocybe samuiensis.
So Post a pic of your best field and let us know what groweth therein.

Here?s a picture I just took on Thursday. This is after an 8 mile hike through the local coastal forest of California. It is my favorite picking spot for many, many different species of mushrooms ! The forest contains oak, pine, redwood, madrone, manzanita and open meadows... Lots of different habitats for mushrooms of all shapes and sizes to grow!

Sorry, on my screen I have two lines of text above and below the image.
ANyway Now I need to find my Thai photos of the Mekong River and the mountains. It was up there that I met a Karen Shroom Hunter foraging for edibles for his village. They also make dye form colorful shrooms in the mountains of northern Thailand, laos and Viet-nam and west into northern Burma.
Here is a Thai image from the Mountains and the Mighty River Mekong.
and
.
It is in the hills where I am that the karen and Hmong (Meo) hunt for wild shrooms.

This is a field in jamaica I like to visit when im there. It is loaded with Panaeolus cyanescens and there are lots of different fungi to be found growing on wood in the trees seen in the rear.
It is an abandoned cane field, see the old crop rows.
