When I was younger and even up to about last year I could not drive while high. No tolerance, but after I had a high tolerance tolerance i could. Now granted i don't drive all around high, just down around the neighborhood to maybe grab some beer that I could not actually carry back. So it is slow cruising.
I always got way weird and paranoid in the past when driving high. Every little twitch of the steering wheel was "OMG that person behind me saw me swerve." Uh no they didn't the person behind me sober was swerving more than me I was just hyper sensitive to it.
I am going to say driving while high on anything is bad. But I do drive occasionally high on the herb, not derp stoned though, just that mellow and only short trips out side of traffic.

Or you age a bit and realize how bad it can be if something bad happens which is not always in your control.
Shit happens, i would rather be sober when it does.

If i hadn't smoked in a while and had no tolerance and got completely blasted from smoking i probably wouldn't feel comfortable to drive, but with a tolerance i typically feel "in the zone" when on the road. haven't had to many close call yet

I've been smoking and driving for 10+ years. Never been in an accident. Have avoided quite a few. But that's because I know how to drive and am not a dumbass and don't take stupid risks. I only hit the bowl when I have a straight line and no cars directly in front of me, for example. There is never a time where I am not in full control of the vehicle or unaware of my surroundings. It's easy to drive in a straight line with your knees for 2 seconds. I could drive 100 miles with my knees if I had to. But I don't. I toke a fat bowl everyday on my way home from work. Having tinted windows makes it easier to go unnoticed. I drive better and am more careful when I'm high. But then again I'm pretty much high 24/7. Smoking and cruising
Why in fact the other day I was driving to work... smoking in fact, in pretty heavy traffic moving fast, which was merging with another freeway and people were slowing down/slamming on their brakes..., one dude in the lane next to me in a jeep slammed into a station wagon in front of him doing like 60 and sent it spinning across 3 lanes of traffic right in front of me, I had to swerve into the left shoulder to avoid getting swiped head-on from a spinning out of control car....missed me by about 8 inches or so.. I saw at least 6 cars get hit in about that brief flash of 3 seconds and who knows how many more fender benders behind that because traffic was moving fast and that pretty much stopped 5 of 6 lanes. I just kept moving.. now with absolutely no traffic, and made my way to work unscathed
I don't really recommend toking and driving to the novice toker and driver.... because then you just feel like you're in a video game. But for the veteran toker and driver... puff away

I get that, and I can function, but for me it was more of a paranoia thing. Which is odd because out side of the car I give two shits if someone knows I am high.
Still I have to say, driving ability is something I don't see a lot of. I think that is he most deciding factor along with your 90% stoner rating, lol. Most people drive like crap or think they are just a great driver while still having mix matched body panels all over there car.
I won't demonize someone for driving after a beer or two or a few tokes. I will say it is inadvisable. But again to each their own. You really have to know your limits, and your tolerance in a realistic sense. I have a scar to remind me about drinking and driving, along with one hell of a story among my Friends. At 35 I can look back at stupid and say... you stupid son(to my self). I try never to throw rocks in a glass house althoug I might toss em, I know better dammit. Do as I say not as I do. I just hate being a hypocrite.
Like I say, I will drive around the block but I am not down for long drives while high.
Never a ticket in my life just two accidents, one at 17 missing a stop sign, but still under 15 mph and another when I went all dukes of hazard drunk of my ass well over ten yeas ago.
Damn ramble much drunkard, ya I am looking at me.

thats a good point...people that suck driving high might just suck at driving in general. driving is honestly incredibly easy in my opinion aside from technical maneuvers and what not. what separates a good driver from a bad one is merely how well they pay attention to the road, in my opinion.

Nope, how well you can predict what the idiot next to you will do. Which becomes like a second sense after some years. Well that and road/speed/conditions when it is just you alone.
you/me what ever.

Yeah I agree driving skill comes a looooong way into taking things like these into consideration. Most people just fucking suck at driving period, sober.. Although I'm kind of the opinion that *in general*.. stoned people tend to drive on average... slower and more carefully. You still have control of your senses and motor skills. When I'm stoned and driving my senses go into hyper-acute mode, but maybe that's just me. My "paranoia" turns into a healthy awareness of my surroundings.
A good driver is ALWAYS paying attention to the road and knows what is going on all around him as much as possible. And definitely being able to predict other driver's movements has saved my ass countless times. Also the ability to make instant split-second smart decisions, coupled with the skills to pull it off. But not paying attention is probably the number 1 cause of car accidents period.

I concur I'm comfortable with myself driving in almost any condition, but I don't generally because it's the next man that's gonna get you. Plus I ride and people generally have no love for the motor or bicyclists it's sad.

Driving high is something I really try to avoid. I'm just not as good of a driver unless I'm really really conscious of my impairment and going slow as hell being cautious as hell, but I've had many near-accidents while driving high... shit's irresponsible mang
