Normally I side with the cops on these 'brutality' things... or what people try to pass as brutality just because they think hating cops is cool.
But this one... Seems a bit too much for nothing, although we didn't see shit and the guy most likely screamed just for the show.
The arrest was uncalled for.

he did say he didn't live at that address he was standing at. but, why does it matter? i wasn't aware of any laws that said you can't film the police as long as you don't interfere with what they're doing.
it seems like they're just getting worse and worse.

Because with the current system in place and a need for police its just a few moths of academy for these self righteous egotistical pieces of trash to gain the power the always wanted.
And if thats not the case then its because of the same system that these guys know they can get away with it.
Its lose lose for us "normal" folk.

Depends on the state, but such laws definitely exist. Certainly in MA when I lived there, any recorded audio without consent of both parties was considered wiretapping and was a crime. Several people ate shit because of it.

Several States have made it a felony to film the police because they were tired of paying out settlements for TPB. They figured if it was a felony to gather evidence against police misconduct, they wouldn't get sued as often.

YAY... finally someone showing an actual abuse of power, we dont know how bad he was smacked around but we can assume it was pretty rough treatment for something he was well within his legal rights to do whether he was on his own property, the state right of way, public sidewalks and pretty much anywhere including someone else's property unless a complaint was filed about a trespasser

if that were the case then they'd have to take down all the surveilance cameras in convenience stores, banks, traffic cameras and any place else that is accessible to the public because those cameras would be in violation of those laws, there's currently 3 states I'm aware of where this is illegal and in those three states the law is being fought
in the words of the cops "if you have nothing to hide then why does it matter?"

well then you agree, they should always use the taser, you cant have real police brutality without the deadly non-lethal compliance weapons
