Holes on casing after harvest ?
    #1433710 - 04/06/03 05:33 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

My powerbook tried to pick off my mushies, but some of the casing stuck on to the mushies.... creating pockets of holes on the casing surface....... [this is from the 1st flush]

should I try and get it to flush again? or is this pretty much overkill [& my powerbook should just throw it away] ???

any help is appreciated!

thanks!

I would just leave it be and wait for flushes if there still is some left.... when I picked my first flush on my cakes they left little holes but they still flushed some more... I could be wrong but get more info from other people...

To prevent divits, twist as you pluck em.

You can pull another flush from em, doesn't make a differance. As long as the mycelium network has time to reconnect before pinning.

my powerbook twisted & plucked, but the casing really stuck to the mushy stem.

maybe it's because the casing is too dry? the casing is separating from the wall of the bread tin also .... ?????

if my powerbook happens to bruise a nearby mushroom when it was harvesting, should that mushy be harvest too? or let it try & continue to grow?

thanks!

i would repatch your casing with whatever you cased with originally and then spray your casing about 2-3 times a day until u see sings of pins again!
