You guys are definitely posting bands with the level of obscurity that I was going for. Check out these two tracks. The first one is "Beaver Patrol" by The Wilde Knights. The second is by a band CALLED Beaver Patrol with a song called "ESP", which is actually a altered cover of The Pretty Things' song "LSD".

Gotta get off the site, so forgive me if it's been posted, but a favorite of mine is PSYCHEGROUND. I think they're from Italy.

We should do a group buy of the Back from the Grave series, Teenage Shutdown series, and Pebbles series.

Uhmmmm...... Wut?...... They are absolutely underground and no they aren't garage but they are psych/rock and probably the driving force behind most of today's experimental rock/metal.. The thread is 60's underground garage/psyche rock... I trust you have listened to them BEFORE you made that post, correct?

I took the title to mean garage punk/psych, as in garage being part of the genre either way. And no, KC is not underground. They aren't the most popular group in the world, but any fan of music of the era is aware of who they are. To me that's not underground. It's hard to be underground while also being "the driving force behind most of today's experimental metal/rock." That's like saying the Pixies are underground. Were they at some point? Sure, probably, but not anymore.
E: Not that I care to make this an argument, just pointing out why they haven't been posted to this thread. Considering what most people are posting I think it's fair to say King Crimson doesn't qualify as "underground" here.

You are correct, Jew Unit. I was going to say that as well as the fact that they're not even really "60's", which is the first word in the thread subject. Their first album came out in October of 1969. I was going to say that, but I didn't want the thread to get derailed into a KC discussion. But here, I'll get this back on track with another obscure 60's psych tune that I love. This one should have been a hit, IMO.

This is insanity.. Can't qualify as 60's cause it was the end of the 60's... I'll let you think about that one for a minute.. And a band can't be a driving force and underground?.... Wow.. Just wow...
