Black lights. Nothing says "I'm young, under 20 and still developing a sense of style", like blacklights.
Its a requirement if you are in college.

How did you do this exactly? Are they just normal glow in the dark markers, or do they not show up unless there's a blacklight on them?
Clearneon invisible blackight spraypaint. It's pretty much completely invisible. It's still a bit noticeable on my ceiling though. It looks like it has a very slight sheen to the paint.
I had an awesome path on my carpet, but the red paint faded away within a few weeks from walking on it so much, which I pretty much expected to happen anyway.

I find people with blacklights and nothing in their room to use it with is pretty pointless. However tripping in my room and then switching on the blacklight is like traveling into a different dimension

now, when you say "hippiesh" i'm guessing you're talking about the stereotypical "hippie" b.s. you'd see on something like Half Baked. my room is "hippiesh" but not in the way any of you folks on this thread are talking about.
I have earth tones for bedspreads, old furniture (nightstands, lamps and this fantastic rocker recliner my aunt gave me), lots of beautiful stones and various artifacts that hold personal meaning and significance to me.
here's what my dresser top looks like. i'd consider it "hippieish" but in a very "earthy" kind of way.

"We are all intoxicated. We were born into an insane asylum, a world crazy-making. We believe what we see and hear. The real myth is the myth of sanity, of rationality: it's a disease that is eating away at the earth. All the poisons flow from our denial. We deny madness, we forget our crimes, we dismember the corpse, we imprison our children. We need poison to poison the poison, to remember the sacred nature of intoxication, the green body of the young god." ~ Dale Pendell

I cover my room in my paintings to give off that self rebelling hippie groove,
My friend becca is a true hippy, she couldn't afford a bed so she bought a hammock.
Have fun with it and collaborate together what you can
