cake status - 2 week mushrooms

Hi all.
I am growing cubensis B+ in a growkit. 20ºC, FAE 3-5 times a day..misted 2, sometimes 3 times a day... i think it was too much so i stoped a little for now.. the bag has drops on the sides, so.. The 1st week of fruiting i just got 2 mushrooms, and they were surrounded by many pinheads, i suppose the upcoming second flush.. is going for the 2nd week now after the first pinheads appeared.. this is the actual status: 1:

I have a few questions: 1-if they look allright to you(if not, what could i do to improve their grwoth, once i see they dont grow so much) and if i should let the cap open a lot more until i pick them up... 2- if i dont eat them in the picking day, how many hours (or days) do they hold so i can est them fresh? or do i have to dry them right away? 3- is it possible to eat shrooms that are in the process of drying but they arent yet totally dried? how would i prepare them?

Ok ill answer these in the order you asked:
1:Looks good to me. Misting 2-3 times daily is sufficient. You dont wanna over saturate so you did the right thing by holding up for a bit on that. If you wanted to improve your flushes you'd need to work on cloning or isolating strains. That way you have an even pinset and not so many competing genetics. My second flushes usually are about the same if not bigger than the first ones, so dont get discouraged if the first flush isnt as much as u expected. I pull when the veil is JUST ABOUT TO BREAK. However, if you want to print, let your cap(s) open so you can do so. the point at which the veil breaks is roughly the point the mushroom goes into its reproductive stage and stops producing alkaloids so, after that ur just increasing size and weight and not potency.
2:Put them in the fridge like you would with portabella. No plastic containers or bags, thats a sure way to get rot. Paper bags work well, so do cardboard boxes. We dry for long term storage. Id say whatever wont be gone in a week, dry asap. Weight out what ud want fresh and then u know how much ur taking anyway even if its semi dry.
3:Ive eaten ones that are in the process of drying...I mean its hard to tell how many you eat because people use wet or dry weight to determine what they eat...I say fuck it, if your gonna do it, might as well have a ball (though none of us here do anything illegal like that lol)...As far as prep goes...however u want man. Thats all relative to be honest.

hey crp! thanks for your reply! Your info was a "juicy" one, like we say in portugal!  So you would say about a week will be ok in a paper bag in the fridge.. thats good news. thanks a lot man.... take care

No problem man, Yeah about a week in a paper bag. Worst case is they semi dry in the bag because the bag will absorb the moisture which is why you dont wanna use a plastic bag (wont absorb and water will stand and cause mold).
