1 Agrocybe sp.
2 Panaeolus papilionaceus
3 Could be Panaeolus cinctulus. Take spore prints.
4 Same as three
5 Psathyrella I believe.

Spore prints always help!

So in your opinion I should trash everything besides #3 and #4? I'll take some spore prints of them.

Personally, I'd separate all the collections, spore print some, save some, and use the internet to try and ID them the best I could so that I could recognize them when I saw them in the field again. But maybe thats just me.

Yes, I'd say three and four hold your only chances for something active.

Thanks for the IDs and advise. I'll post the spore prints when I can.

Yeah three and four are definitely worth spore printing, good luck.

4 looks like a psathyrella to me, to be honest.
3 I'm not sure about; looks like a panaeolus, but I'd be surprised if it turned out to be pan. cinctulus.

I've been hunting this area in the mountains for the last few months because of it's convenient location, but I haven't found any active shrooms yet; I would be very surprised if they are cincts, the paps are everywhere. Maybe I'm just searching out of season, or other seasoned hunters are gathering all the rare island mushrooms, idk. Today I decided to coat a bunch of the cow-pies with fish emulsion after reading the "something CRAZY popping up in my strawberry patch! ID?" thread, perhaps that will help my endeavor. :mushroom2:

What was the specific habitat for number 3 and 4?  Growing from grass?  Dung?  If it was grass, I bet they are Panaeolina foenisecii.

1 Agrocybe sp.
2 Panaeolus papilionaceus
3 Psathyrella sp.
4 Psathyrella sp.
5 Psathyrella, maybe cf. candolleana

#3 and #4 look quite Psathyrella-ish but the gills are most definitely mottled. According to Michael Kuo and Steve Nelson, Psathyrella gills aren't mottled.

Maybe a Lacrymaria species?

#4 the caps look somewhat like cinctulus. I don't think #3 looks like them at all.

1 The first one is brown which matches Agrocybe.
2 Prints are black, supporting Panaeolus papilionaceus.
3 The prints look dark brown, almost black. That along with the mottled gills with white edges makes me think Lacrymaria.
4 This print looks purple/brown indicating Panaeolina foenisecii. Not active.

Doesn't look like anything active this time around.

Keep looking!

ya i agree, just keep looking and get a handle on what blue bruising is and looks like. The actives you will eventually encounter are Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescen. both will bruise extremely blue. you have a chance to possibly find Pan tropicalis too.

If you want to find actives you gotta go to lower hotter ground... copelandias dont like it too high or cold
