Obscurity is only valuable as a metaphor, or even a joke, if it's at least remotely intelligible or decipherable. Don't be that guy who only has inside jokes with himself. :smirk:

Well FIRST of all, there is nothing obscure about my answer. I am
Lord of Many Names.
No one else is.
It is one of my official titles,
And take of that what you will
It will not change the fact that I am he
The Lord of Many Names.

Secondly, here is an explanation offered to the Shroomery, a while ago, that will hopefully serve some insight as to what it means to be the Lord of Many Names:

My names are an intrinsic representation of my personality, beliefs, and culmination of all my experiences conveniently condensed into an undescribable elegance.

Names are essentially meaningless, as they are merely a metaphor for an experience or idea, in much way the human body is. By creating a dynamic thread signature© with a structure so rigid, one is able to attain information about that individual not usually contained in everyday speech. In this microcosm of many names, one can apply deep meaning through the specific name used, or by the whole phrase containing the name.

Take for instance "I have Many names" By itself one can ponder on it much like a Koan. When juxtaposed against the totality of all the commited Name Phrases, however, it becomes more evident that the person writing it has either serious issues, a display of boredom or creativity. Furthermore, depending on the obscurity of said name, one can assess that said individual may be well read or merely a comedian.
When a name of obscurity is pondered by the reader as unknown, they may decide to look said name up. True resonance is the manifested.

Again, for another example, "I have no names!" one could discern that said individual may feel depersonalised, lonely, or depressed. When compared to the Microcosm of Names, this is clearly not the case, so one may get a better of the overall tonality of the character. This practice also may apply it self based on the total actions of a person.

There are shallow elements of humour and anticipation. Much in the same fashion of a sunday comic, a reader perhaps might be anxious to view the next sequential name, in the same way one has to get to the next level of a video game. Depending on the absurdity and context, one might laugh, or illicit one of the many reactions arechtypal comics strive for.

The names also represent memories, which are like beacons we create to attract human interaction. Merely by saying on a whim "I have Pink Floyd names!" I merely set forth a red flag that will hopefully draw positive attention towards people who like Pink Floyd. Through something "meaningless" friendship is now viable and more happy resonance is created.

There is also an evidence of personalisation towards the recipient of the phrase. Based off how one person acts, it represents a possible objective view as to how that person is as a whole, to a certain degree of course.I have been insulted and complimented. I am not pointing out the person who is insulting is that type of person in genral; Those that are nice from the start certainly display a capabilty of understanding, more readily evident. When working from the insulting point of view, it can work as an ice breaker to explain a specific perspective. If said person turns out to be incompatible, one just has to walk away, and at least an interesting conversation is gained to say the least.

Even with a subtle variation on the rigid structure, it tells a wealth of information when making comparisons with the whole. If I were to not add an exclmation point, it may be an example of laziness, forgetfullness, or lack of self control. Also, when said phrase is imitated, depending on how well the replica is done, it can display homage, flattery, disgust, any spectrum of human interaction relatively precisely.

I have Rodeo Show names!

The American value of individuality has been complicated, compromised, convoluted and as a result rendered meaningless.

We praise the individual.  We base our ideas of freedom and rights on him(her).  We stand fast and never waver from the idea that in Society, there is nothing more precious or rare than the Individual.

This is all true.  So long as the individual can be completely understood by any other individual.  So long as the individual's ideas do not confuse any other individual or collective of individuals.  We share the protection of an individual's values as long as those values align with our values.  The individual is free to have his own ideas as long as those ideas do not challenge our own or make us think about things of which we have already washed our hands and made up our minds.

Uniqueness is no characteristic for an individual.  In order for an individual to live a happy and relaxed life without fear or alienation from his fellow individuals, all he(she) must do is replicate the exact behaviors that are expected of him(her) in whatever position or role he happens to find him(her)self.  Deviance from said behavior list is understood to be the signal for chastizing
