I'd say you are dead-on, on both accounts...pinning in jar and contaminated

Sucks, but I would recommend getting rid of the jar and making more
I hope you have more jars made up tho. Sucks loosing your only jar...
Goodluck tho

If it's the only jar you got, birth it, and wait to take a spore print. Sometimes you get lucky, start learning how to take a good spore print

I think I will just dig it into the garden.
Why do you say that I should learn to take a good spore print ie. do you think the contam is from my printing technique if you share your technique I will gladly try it and see if I get better results

I would birth that sucker and get all those mush and throw it in the garden. My own spore print technique is sketchy, check into what some TC's do. I'm sure they know better than me. There's many good ways to do it, and many bad ways. It's one of those things that a person has to pick the way they like to do it

Oh yeah there still good I'd birth the cake its not uncommon at that stage for the mycelium to fight off the contam
I would however birth it in a area your not planning on growing in the future
