I know what you're thinking, bruising? When I noticed the discolorations they were much to small to be bruising and I cant see how they can be bruised in the jar, especially with my now 45% faliure rate...
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of my jars but I googled for a few minutes and found this

This is the closest example of what I found, although in much smaller areas, and with a slightly bluer/tourquoise (sp?) shade..
Ahhhh well, I saved one of the jars with the smallest amount of contam to moniter what happens to it for a few days, it is heavily colonized so Im hoping it may somehow overcome its new found friend. I would have posted a picture of that but the discoloration is too small to be captured on camera and viewed.

that looks like mold to me, but I can't enlarge the picture enough to be positive.

I agree! Look a bit like mold but picture is to small. Isolate it from other jars and watch growth over next day or so closely. If it is mold, it should begin to take over!

Sure, that's mold, but that's not his jar. The OP just searched for a picture of mold, LOL!

It was mold. I let it grow for a few days.. fucked up green stuff man.
Anyway, I bought a shoebox size tub, drilled a bunch of holes in the top and am going to crumble in around 2 fully colonized pints into some VERM/Coir, Case it, Let it colonize, and then use THAT to knock up my 90 qt tub. Another week or two of work, but probobly worth it to make up for lost jars.
What do you guys think?

You gotta make some spawn to...spawn...the 90qt tub! You can't generally spawn colonized bulk to more bulk, if you get my drift. You have to colonize a bunch of spawn- cakes, grains, etc., and mix that with bulk substrate in your 90qt.
Funny that the guy in your sig looks like he's about to shoot Amy Goodman ;P

Oh i know that, but I dont have enough spawn to go into my 90 qt.. Id need around 5 qts of spawn, but i will only have like 2 qts.. So i wanted to basically take my 2 pints that are almost done colonizing, and spawn them into basically a mini tub, wait til that is all colonized, then use that as the spawn in the 90qt.

You want to do grain to grain transfer with your pints, and then spawn the resulting grain spawn to bulk substrate.

I dont think hes getting the picture on this one. That mini tub your speaking of u say is going to be made of coir... You cant go taking the coir out of that tub and putting it into more coir in a big tub after it colonizes...

Im re reading everything from last night, I was super stoned and obviously none of what you guys were saying was getting in.
So why couldnt I takea fully colonized verm/coir/ BRF Spawn mixture and then use that in my larger tub?? I dont see how that wouldnt work..

You've just invented "super spawning". It was described as being fifty years out of date, thirty years ago.

Ok so a G2G xfer would be my best bet to multiply my amount of spawn for my massive tubs. Noted. Now what would be the best way to go about this without a pressure cooker? Can I use WBS quarts with my stock pot?
I will have a fully colonized Pint jar in about 24 hours, and another one in another day or so, if I dont get any more contaminations.
Any and all advice is appreciated.

Haha, damn i feel sorry for you.
I didnt even bother to boil my jars, i just mixed the substrate and injected the syringe. 2/3 where not contaminated. All your preperations, all you have read etc. you deserve to get something.

I wore a full painters suit in a tiny bathroom sanitized WITH A GLOVE BOX too.
I attribute my high contamination rate to my house being over 100 years old and probobly a natural spore fiesta...
Regardless, it was grow #1.. As long as I get to see one fruit, I will be happy.
