That's normal bruising from direct misting, nothing to worry about.

I've felt like the cakes weren't heavy or wet enough after being dunked so I've been trying to compensate with misting. I squeeze of a good amount of spray when misting usually. I've searched a ton and I really can never find a good answer on how much to mist. All the answers seem to contradict each other.
Misting is tricky because you need to know the RH. If you don't have a way to measure that then you have to eyeball it which can lead to either over misting or under misting. Whenever I mist I mist from above the tub and let the humidty fall down. I don't direct the nozel into the tub, just over it. Then I mist the sides of the walls. If you mist directly onto the cakes you risk over saturating them and that ups your chances of contamination. I wouldnt say back off the misting, just don't directly mist the cakes. 2-3 times a day should be PLENTY.

But then, just as quickly as it comes, it has left without warning. The lingering feeling of knowing, even for a second, what others are rarely open to leaves us thankful to have experienced it. Out of this comes a whole new look on life, ourselves, and others. The real human experience changes us forever. Even if all we catch is a glimps of it, to know it is there puts peace in our hearts and love toward our fellow man." My Journal Entry

the bruising is most likely due to drying out. I never fan without misting first, that's what's wrong, at least give a light mist before every fan, unless it's obviously soaking wet

Would those happen to be Brazils?? Because I have noticed if my sprayer isnt on a fine enough mist mine too turn a little blue here and there. Or just mist from a further distance.I have found that I just eyeball the cakes and notice if the Verm is dry our drying out. I only mist maybe 4 times a day. Misting is something you just have to get a feel for. Dont just go off of what someone says. Give them some love and they will love you back IMO.

yea, sprayers vary widely, in their out put. Just try to get them moist, then fan them dry. No one can tell you how much to mist, you have to eye-ball it.
