LOL. You felt pure consciousness so now you believe in god, ludicrous. You should be ashamed of yourself. Reminds me of the christians who claim they used to be atheist in attempt to persuade people they're "enlightened" give me a fucking break. State your current beliefs and that's all, because the "i used to be an atheist" card just makes you look like a jackass.

A friend of mine pulled one of those one time.  Me and my other buddies pretty much made the conclusion that:

1.  wasn't the brightest fellow.  Didn't have a good grasp on reality.
2.  He was extremely arrogant and always trying to be a "step ahead" or cooler than everybody else.
3.  Did way to much acid in a 2 month period.
4.  He found some hot christian bitch that was willing to fuck him.

things started to make more sense once we put those little facts together.

I have a friend exactly like that too

The problem with all of this is there are multiple god's being discussed here.

Most people interpret 'god' as that old man, jealous and totalitarian, father figure tyrant character that the fucking church has pushed for years.

Few others are talking about the force the moves the universe. If your friend had connection with that force, then awesome. If he's chasing after that santa claus in a garb, get him help immediately

I think there is a good chance that's what "God" represented before a modern understanding and being twisted to control people.

I think that most people who go through that should realize that maybe the only reason they got there in the first place was drugs and alcohol, going sober is never going to get you there. Keep on running down that rabbit hole and then you'll get some results.

So your boys jacked up on JEsus?

God is a key word that opens a chest of relations

Those relations wave before your eyes and before you know it, you have changed your priorities

Its not finding this or that, its a triple beam scale in your brain that is wagering all it can to win

There are usually a couple reasons why people become religious.

-They're lonely and want to feel a sense of community.
-They want to believe it, so they do.
-They're doing it for alternative reasons. (women, power, superiority, money etc.)

True story: My father didn't go to church for 10 years. He and my mother separate. Suddenly he's religious again with a girlfriend of the same faith.

modern day evangelical christianity has concocted an entire religion based off of the premise that jesus has all the answers, all you gotta do is come to their church, read this book, listen to this music, hang out with these people, sing this song and then you're life will be on the path of righteousness.

shits scary.

Not exactly modern day Christianity exclusively, lots of modern and ancient monotheistic religions have done pretty good jobs in this regard.

Scientology is a fantastic modern example.

Definitely doesn't make it any less scary, for sure. Once radical monotheism learns how to manifest Facebook correctly it's gonna get lethal and interesting.

i never eluded to christianity being the "only" religion that follows the pattern i laid out. christinaity just happened to be the religion we are discussing in this thread.

i agree with you about scientology.

"We are all intoxicated. We were born into an insane asylum, a world crazy-making. We believe what we see and hear. The real myth is the myth of sanity, of rationality: it's a disease that is eating away at the earth. All the poisons flow from our denial. We deny madness, we forget our crimes, we dismember the corpse, we imprison our children. We need poison to poison the poison, to remember the sacred nature of intoxication, the green body of the young god." ~ Dale Pendell
