fresh to straw

I read somewhere that you can take fresh mushies and blend them with purified water and get a "slurge" wich you can use for inoculation of straw substrate is this a myth or is this true.     :confused:

Only works for oysters, since they colonize so rapidly.

liquid innoculation of straw is largely a pipe dream. Unless I've missed something lately, the inherrent problems haven't been overcome. Fresh to grain to straw is the shortest path between fresh and straw that I can think of.

What about a slurry into a dung/straw mix, outdoors even? seem feasible?

i would think water wouldnt be ideal, id try some malt extract.. i dont see why this wouldnt work
