If you cannot tell the difference between what you found and what's in that picture, then I suggest you don't eat what you find until you know the differences.

After seeing better pics of the gills I think they're probably Conocybe, though there is an outside chance of them being Bolbitius or Pholiotina. A spore print alone won't be able to tell the difference between these... There are a few active Conocybes but I seriously doubt they are them. You're lucky you didn't get sick from eating those.

well being someone who finds active Conocybes i would say no , not even close. these were growing from dung correct? very few Conocybes grow directly outa dung, maybe from the C tenera group . but a few of them really did look like a Bolbitius, even with the melting cap look, so there is a mixxed collection i think.

I think they were growing from a mix of dung, hay and wood chips...stable shavings.

Yeah. I'm just now coming fully to grips with the near-suicidal stupidity of my actions. Kind of terrified at the uneasiness in my stomach at the moment. Hoping it's not what I'm starting to think it is. Right now the only thing convincing me they aren't conocybe filaris is the fact that none of the ones I've seen have a ring.
And yeah, they weren't growing directly out of the dung. They were growing out of the wood chips. I'm quite sure, with the exception of #2 in the OP, all the ones I've found are the same species. But I'm the complete opposite of an expert.

@Bob not sure why to be honest, sorry. I find myself judging characteristics and making IDs what feels like subconsciously and my teaching/explaining ability sucks so much that I could probably not explain to someone how to tell a chair from a cabinet (super shitty trait to have when you're on a discussion forum )

My spore print worked. The color was what you could call "rusty brown". I would provide pics but my camera isn't picking up the colors right.

That's the right color for Conocybe/Bolbitius, but I'm leaning towards Conocybe because of the brown, non-slimey, non-striate cap. Either way they're not good for eatin'.

If you haven't vomitted yet or got any such symptoms as sweating, diarrhoea, etc then you're probably just suffering from anxiety and/or indigestion! Keep an eye out for anything unusual though, but don't get paranoid!

Yeah, the spore print color was identical to the one posted on page 2. Thanks for all the help everyone. Definitely learned a lot from this. The paranoia is kind of unavoidable, given I broke the main rule of mushroom hunting. I consider it nature giving me a good swift punch in the ego.

This. I've been paranoid and given myself nausea before. Also, if you start cramping/heaving, then there's a symptom to go to the doctor over.
