Pigs can't fly, but my jars did
    #14326535 - 04/21/11 06:24 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Me and my wife got into a huge shouting match the other night, and
inevitably, the cops got called. Before they arrived, I threw
all 50 jars of my popcorn over the fence, including my casings, and
monotub.(sadly only 5 jars
survived flight school.)

The jars sat in the woods over night and I retrieved the survivors first thing in the morning.

Now for my question, do you guys think my risk of contamination will be higher in the surviving jars, since they sat in a bunch of sand overnight, or should my filter disks act as a good enough contam buffer?

the filter disks should be plenty regardless as long as they didn't break, or the filters got wet, IME

It is that kind of shit that will get you caught man.

Sure, throwing your jars around, over fences and into the woods could
cause an increase in contamination. It 100% is not a good thing.

If shouting matches with your wife, and cops coming around are routine
things I would suggest growing edibles, the situation you described is
how a lot of people lose there freedom.

To answer your question, the filter disks should have kept the contamination out.  If any of the filters were buried in wet sand, they may be compromised, but the rest should survive.
