Grain green mold?

These jars are about 5 days in and I just started seeing slight growth on them. It is very slight, but a lot of the grains are getting a white hue to them. This is my first grain experience by the way, and I took the noobtastic path for my first go at it. I order 4 jars presterilized from outgrow.com along with 4 bags of compost (their first special), and I also order the second special with 3 bags of rye grain, 15lbs of compost and a casing layer. I decided to go this route because I don't have a pressure cooker yet, and I wanted to see the development in an almost fail proof attempt. Well, at least that was my hopes.
Unfortunately it seems to me that inside one of the jars a couple of the individual grains, and I really mean a couple, seem to look slightly dark and possibly green. If you look at the picture it is slightly hard to tell, but it is right at the top. I don't really see any signs of this in any of the other jars or bags, so I am hoping it is just a discoloration of the grain itself? It has only been a couple days, but I guess if myc is already growing than so could trich.
Also, I don't know if anyone has any experience with outgrow.com, but I have heard people saying that he is great about helping people out, and if something falls to contamination he will send out a replacement. Anyone know anything about that? I mean, I don't have a problem just buying another set of jars and bags. The price is awesome. $25 for 4 Sterilized quart jars of rye grain and 4 1lb bags of compost. To me it seems like a great deal, as someone who does not have a pressure cooker yet.

Sorry that the picture is little blurry, getting it focused as close as I wanted it was kinda rough. I'm a little shaky.

What did you inject into the jars? And how much?

I injected with a MS syringe of cubies (AUS strain, I know that doesn't make a difference). About 3ccs in each. I had a LC going, but I didn't want to risk it on these jars because I had not tested it yet. Also I injected through a self healing injection port. I did shake the jars after innoculating. After that I read RR saying that you shouldn't shake because it takes longer to germinate after the spores are at a distance from one another.
Ordered from the great ralphsters btw

Ok first, spores are potent. Just use a tiny bit. Don't shake spores, like you said.
I say wait another 5 days, leave the jars alone. Don't look at them, touch them, breathe on them. it will be easier to tell what's going on as far as which jars are bad and in what pattern.

OK. Thanks Doc. That is such a hard thing being newer. I feel like I want to go out to my grow room every hour to check on their progress because it is so exciting seeing growth. I think I'm gonna put a sign on the door that says "Turn the fuck around you impatient bastard! They're not ready yet!"

And start some agar dishes, that will let you see what your syringe has. Go get a PC at a thrift store for ten bucks.

I didn't even think of checkin a thrift store for one. I have been browsing eBay, but I feel like that's gonna land me a $50 hunk of garbage. I really love your WBS tek and I would like to give that a go once I get a PC. I'll go check out the thrift stores tomorrow.
Oh, and I have a glovebox, but no flowhood. I have heard it's pretty necessary for the flowhood to do agar. Is that true or should the box do ok? Its basically identical to the ghetto chamber with the sewer rings.

I don't have a flowhood and don't intend to get one. Also, I don't use doc34's WBS tek, I do grains like RR does. For WBS, the grains are smaller and you don't soak or simmer as long, just until it's al dente. And always use a wire mesh strainer to steam dry your wbs, not a colander.

You're so helpful. Ya know I always thought that was your tek I feel kinda silly now. I really appreciate you given me pointers though. To make up for being an idiot about that WBS tek... I think the hybrid monotub with the thumb sized pin is pretty sick haha.
