okay now. the solo and outro in this song, Pantera - Floods, is the definition of raw emotion in guitar playing. no solo gives me goosebumps like this one does. everyone who next to nothing about rock/metal knows that Dimebag was one of the best players out there, but this solo isn't his typical work. it's not fast and its not all that technical but the emotion that you can fucking hear is out of this world...
RIP Dimebag
EDIT: OH... Floods isn't the most aurally pleasing song Pantera put out. in fact I don't really like the actual song, but the solo is great... anyway what I'm saying is the solo starts at 3:30 ^_^

I'm probably one of (if not the) biggest Pantera fans on the shroomery, and I don't necessarily LIKE the Glam era recordings.... but I'm not a hater. for what they were, they were fucking great.
Floods, though. I don't give a fuck what genre of music you're into.. if you don't get touched by Floods the factory made you with an error. fucking masterpiece.

I agree, good solo. Pantera rules
Cemetary Gates is an obvious one.
Solo @4:52
Fuck I love the end where the guitar squeals and falsetto interchange.

Always loved...
A very underplayed, underrated Deep Purple tune IMO

This right here is some next level shit.
SRV - Voodoo Chile, Live at the El Mocambo.
Solo starts at ~2:00. You're welcome.
And there's an even more mind-blowing solo that starts at ~4:30.

The story goes that Bootsy Collins and George Clinton were dosed out of their skulls, and George told Bootsy to play his guitar like his mama just died. Maggot Brain was the result.

This thread has inspired me to watch SRV - Live at the El Mocambo. Probably the best set of music history holy fuck. I would have loved to see this live drinking some beers and smoking a joint in a small venue like that. Couldn't ask for anything more.
