Possible Fruiting Contamination
    #14324612 - 04/20/11 07:21 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I should start off by saying, this is my first grow. I unfortunately lost 4 of 6 cakes to contaminations during inoculation. There was only 2 that seemed to fully colonize successfully. These 2 were birthed, D&R, and fruited over a week ago. Pins popped up on one of the cakes on 4/18. They have grown significantly over the last 3 days. The other cake unfortunately has not shown any pins and very little colonization of the fresh rolled vermiculite layer. On top of that it seems to be turning darker orange every day. I have read up on orange mold, but still have not decided wether to abort or not, especially since it sits so closely to my blossoming cake! Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I cant seem to find the cord for my camera, so these were taken on a phone camera!
