South Puget Sound Washington ID

Location: Picked in Pacific Northwest, Olympia, WA.  The Evergreen Forest.

Habitat: Found on a large turned over tree, on the underside of the roots, right on the edge of a stream near lots of Devil's club, Fiddlehead Ferns, Skunk Cabbage, and Lady Ferns.  Very lush area.  Will have to get back to you on the type of tree.

Gills: Dark Brown-Black (I assume from the dirt?) and became more like the caps the day after

Stem: White and flimsy

Cap: Yellow to Golden Brown caps with the occasional lighter taint near the top 1/4. Smooth not viscid.

Spore print: Purple-Brown-Black

Bruising: Not really a bruiser...

Coprinellus micaceus, or something close. Your photos are a bit small.
