Bulk with Liquid?

I already asked this question on the advanced cultivation board, but I wanted to hear peoples opinions and experiences on this board.

Does spawning a bulk substrate(ie: straw + worm castings) with liquid mycelium cultures(ie: honey water) work just as well or better than spawning with colonized jars?
