Found growing with moss on the trunk of a palm.
Look on the far left

Here's some of it close up

And a bunch more

I'm unsure of what you're trying to get an id for?
Is it the darker green broccoli-like moss or the roots?
I'd hit up a local library and try to find a field guide that has local mosses, lichens etc. It may help.

It's called 'Moss' and is difficult to ID beyond that.

The broccoli-like moss thing,, the roots are palm I am pretty sure. And I'll try the library.

Wasn't even sure if it was moss, there are other small types of small plants that look like that? And I didn't expect it to be easy, just trying to narrow it down further then "Moss-like thing".

you're welcome. I'm sure it could be identified down to family with more microscopic features, though I am no bryophytes expert so I cannot help.

Might try that in due time, I'll see how the library route turns out first.

I think there is two different kinds at least. The fuzzy tall single stalk ones, and then see the little green balls moss? What are those? Is it just a sprout of the stalk one?
And I dont see what so funny, everybody had to learn what moss was for the first time sometime. I agree it should be before your 18th birthday.

I know what moss is, this is just so small I never noticed it before. You can barely see it with the naked eye.

FYI bryophyta is a division which contains about 12,000 mosses. also, what's wrong with you? when you're way past that age, you regret not to blow again at just 18 candles ...you're a lucky one for still having to do that.
