PES Amazonian vs Huautla Mycelium appearence?

I have 12 1/2 pint jars of PES Amazonian and 12 1/2 pint jars of Huautla colonizing right now (day 5). On the Amazonian jars the myc is first moving over the substrate (grodan rockwool with dark rye flour, they seem to love it) before consolidating where as in the huautla it's consolidated in small, very dense, patches that are moving outward (much slower than the amazonian may I add). I don't smell or see any obvious contamination (cobweb?).
Could this just be a result of me using an odd substrate (don't see much tried and true info about rockwool) or is that just how their myc differs?

Pics would help! My amazonian is growing just a bit faster than my amazonian, I did ten of each. My are growing just the same lol so it well could be traits of the strains

That i think is a characteristic of Huautla strain. I got a spore print a few years ago from another form and it grew exactly the same. Once the spores germinated, it gre out in a circular patch slower than other strains i had grown, but the mycelium grew in really thick at a steady pace.
Other strains seem to make ground through the substrate before then thickening up.
I remember having 1 strain that took hold of the substrate so quick (with it looking see through and grey looking ) i was sure it was cobweb, until it got the the standard colinisation time and had thickened up.

Yeah the amazonian is consolidating in some places; mainly where I first injected the spores and the bottom of the jar. It was just very quick to show growth (<48 hrs). I'm glad to know someone else had a similar experience.

i really hate that "if in doubt through it oiut" saying, its ruined many grows that were perfectly alright.
it almost cought me up, was was messaged the guy i got the spore print from, so many people thought it was cobweb. It looked suspicious till it finished colinising then when white. While it was colinising u could see the substrate through the mycelium

I think the green of the rockwool makes it look even more grey than it really is also.
