Morels [update]
    #14318416 - 04/19/11 04:31 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

The light colored morel in the second from left photo was growing at the base of an American beech tree.

--------/end 4-20 update

Morchella deliciosa, found under Tulip trees. The cap is about 3cm, stipe 4cm. Were these small or immature?

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

Beautiful! Very nice Hygrocybe. I don't think I would call them Morchella esculenta though - too dark. I love the diversity of form/color you can find in Morels!

High resolution picture.

Thanks, I'll take more pics next time.

My avatar came from here, I haven't seen the species in person.
