hey all, i found something today while surfing the the mushroom related websites of the internet that i thought i would share with all of the aspiring (and beyond) cultivators here that i thought would strike some interest.
Its a paper released by the American mushroom institute and the Department of food sciences at Penn state university, that outlines some basic mushroom cultivation practices that can benefit the cultivator.
The paper is called "Good Management Practices" and i think you will enjoy it. It has some really great principles it lays out, and it goes through the processes of bulk preparation and especially stresses the importance of cleanliness and proper care involved in mushroom cultivation. It does get a bit wordy, but it is entirely informative and worth a look.
also, it does include information for if someone were planning to sell fresh mushrooms, but i assume there are some of us here interested in cultivating/selling gourmet/legal mushrooms anyway right?
here ya go!
Good Management Practices You should have the Adobe plugin.

I'm reading it, seems really interesting. I'm doing some management papers at the moment with the intention of running a mushroom factory at some stage. probably just a phase though
