I really love this forum. I have learned so much here it blows my mind. I came here becuase I was interested in cubes, but after staying for awhile I decided that the gourmet mushrooms were worth trying. I started with oysters, now I have 8 different kinds of edibles on grain waiting for this damn cold weather to be over.
I did this pearl oyster block to help break the winter blues on 4/5. I put it in fruiting conditions about three days ago or so.

If those have been in fruiting conditions for three days I'd say you need more of all three components: Humidity, light and fae.
Humidity because the fruits look tiny and a little dry.
Light because of the coral structure
FAE because of small caps long stems
Gourmet mushrooms are awesome indeed though. Nice to be able to apply mycology without being arrested.

I know the light could be a lot better. I have a small window in the room that gives them north light. Because I can't get them any closer to the window the clusters on the back are stretching toward the window. I intend to follow RRs advice about fruiting outdoors though. This is just an experiment to see how things were going to go. I've never had a pearl oyster and want to taste a few before I go on a pressure cooking rampage :-)

What are your day time temperatures there and what spawn ratio did you use?! You're much further along than some of my grows (of phoenix) from a similar time. So i'm just trying to figure out how i can speed up my colonisation.

I used one quart of grain to that 10 cups of straw. It was probably overkill, but I just wanted to fruit some to see how it'd go, and I figured more spawn means less contams, so that's what I did. Daytime temps run 67-71 Fahrenheit.

Those temperatures are perfect imo especially for pearls. Keep us updated with your future grows m8.

I made a humidity tent out of some saran wrap and a cheap walmart rack and was able to get them closer to the window. I added a 10w 6500k cfl for a little extra kick here's 2 days worth of growth in the new makeshift chamber

They are loving the humidity. Get it a little higher if you can.
Increase FAE to make those stems turn into caps. Stems are fibrous enough to be essentially non-edible, certainly not a choice edible.
