Its not an unusual high its just hella strong high. You're a noob if you've never experienced that prior to this 'accident' :smirk:

Everything looks cartoonish, your heart rate is off the roof, you're uncoordinated and forget what happened 10seconds ago.

In case you wanna abort this type of OD I'd say exploit the leptin satiety pathway. Basically THC and leptin have mutually antagonistic relationships so get a bunch of food and eat it and then some more and you'll remain just mildly high.

I get a similar experience to that sometimes if I smoke too much, I'm pretty sure in my own case it hasn't been a case of it being laced since I have had those messed up highs and had chilled out experiences off of the same weed.

While I agree that cannabis contains many cannabinoids at various levels of potency and with various effects, it's generally accepted that THC is responsible for the more drastic conciousness change, other cannabinoids play a part obviously, but THC is the cannabinoid that is usually in the highest concentration in the plant so it has the most effect.
CBD is usually the second most common cannabinoid and has a less marked effect on consciousness and usually effects the body itself. Euphoria, muscle relaxation, etc etc.

I know what you're talking about, but realize the second time, when they used the CBD, they used it with THC.  CBD changes the way your body responds to THC.  THC + CBD creates a third type of high that's completely different to THC or CBD alone.

The experiment only proves that THC is better and more euphoric with CBD.  But it doesn't prove that the euphoria is coming from the CBD.  It's coming from the combination which is greater than the sum of the parts.

Got any papers that look in the molecular neurobiology of these synergistic interactions?

I've always been excited about the way CBD changes THC.

I'd have to go look for them.  I've seen a few in the past, but I can't promise I can find them again.  I can show you this one while you wait though:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17876302

The full text is free, just click on the icon at the top right.  It references CBD as an antagonist at this new cannabinoid receptor.

Edit:

Also found this one:  http://www.springerlink.com/content/qx40446564488706/

Unfortunately you can't see the full text, and it looks like someone dislexic typed up the abstract.  But when you look at the fulltext preview, the typos aren't there.  I'll look again later maybe.

Oh nice.  I can't access journals from their original location, but my college has a library of thousands of journals, but I can only access them from the college's website.

Haha Turns out you had a panic attack/anxiety attack.  They happen and are pure misery.  I started selling weed when I was 14 (10 years ago) and I was High 24/7 till I was about 22 now I cant smoke shit unless I am drinking, instant anxiety attack.  It sucks!

As everyone has pretty much stated, sounds like you just got really really high...Though cannabis is incredibly safe, it can produce rather intense effects in someone with low tolerance. Sativas tend to induce effects like this more so than indicas...

What you explained sounds exactly like what I experienced a few times when I first started to smoke. I was really caught off guard the first time it occurred and even asked my friend if the weed was laced (which I laugh at my self now for thinking such a silly thing). But rather than freaking out I just went with it and had what I would consider my first psychedelic like experiences. Everything from losing my memory, to pronounced open eye visuals, and vivid slide-show like closed eye visuals...But I can see how some people may have a difficult time when their short term memory is gone, that's what usually gets to people is not being able remember shit for more than a second and then they start to panic and fall into a loop.

Experiences like this is why I most definitely consider cannabis to be a psychedelic...It literally puts you "In the now". If this happens again, just relax and go with it, you're not going to die and remind your self that....And though I would love to be able to get that high again like I used to, this is another reason why I enjoy having somewhat of a tolerance, so I don't get stoned out of my gourd when I smoke....

ya, it definetley freaked me out the first time. but since then it's happened every single time i smoke, now i know how to handle it and know what to expect. It's just kind of a bummer now because i feel like i can't enjoy it anymore.

Also i dont think it's a panic attack because just the other night i was at my friends house, and i smoke with him often and feel very relaxed and comfortable at his house. But after only two bong rips i was completley destroyed, and the cev's were even more intense this time around.

So im starting to think that maybe, im just reacting to the thc a little differently now and it might just be one of those things that happen to some people over a certain amount of time.

Do you know the particular strain you're smoking?

Could very well just be a certain strain that's coming through that so happens to be very heady and Sativa dominant...

You're just smoking too much.  The weed you got is stronger than the weed you had before.  So you need to smoke less.  Don't use a bong.  A bong is a sure way to get yourself completely obliterated.  Get a small pipe and take 1/2 a hit.  Wait 20 minutes and see if you want another 1/2.  Or maybe even a whole one.  But just take it slow, and you'll have a great time.

This same thing happened to me when mids left my area, and medical stuff came around.  The first 5 or 6 times I smoked the medical stuff, I smoked way too much and had horrible experiences.  Then I started smoking less, and the magic came back.

http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/guide/mental-health-panic-disorder ; Panic/anxiety attacks have nothing to do with how relaxed or comfortable you are.  The first time I had 1 I was watching the Simpsons with my girlfriend of 4 years (we watched the new ones that come on on sunday, every sunday for 4 years).  And boom  Panic attack. I actually went to the doc the next morning cause it freaked me out.  when he told me I had a "panic attack"  I was furious with him.  I explained to him how I was relaxing and was not stressed about anything.  After a few more attacks and some research I learned it was a correct diagnoses.  This might not be your case but sounds like it to me.  Hope this helped.

Cannabis can dramatically lower blood pressure and very quickly, that's where the increased heart rate is coming from. In high doses it can cause your short term memory to more or less go out the window, which can lead to confusion. Muscle twitching is a common physical side effect from cannabis as well, though more pronounced in novice smokers even I get mild twitches here and there after smoking. And I've experienced closed eye visuals from cannabis since the first time I smoked, but again this is more pronounced with low tolerance or high doses...

I'm tellin' ya man, you're just getting really high....If you do not enjoy these effects, as others have said, smoke less  .
