First time shrooming :D (AUSTRALIA)

Hey guys, last night I went shrooming for the first time and decided to go for what I was most comfortable with... looking in shit. Go figure. So I found a few mushrooms but my indentification skills are very limited which is odd for a biology major. Any assisstance would be greatly appreciated and I hope that I've complied with the rules on the sticky thread. If not just let me know.
Habitat:Australia, NSW, South Coast. cow field close to water and trees, long grass all mushrooms collected from aged (not fresh) cow shit.
Characteristic of the gills: Run from the stem to the outmost area of the cup, however some gills do not extend the entire distance and only appear either end (stem of exterior circumference) of the cup. the gills are white but the mushroom appears black underneth from a distance.
Stem: Long, thin, hollow and with a yellow brown tinge. This is predominantly white though. Avg length of the stem would be 3-4cm.
cap: they're a faded golden brown and appear as if someone may of left them in the sun. However the older shrooms (pressuming more mature due to their size) have a deeper browner complexion.
Spore print: I did this on a piece of paper and it came up grey/black.
Bruises: richer brown however this is still a faint tinge.
Scent: I would say odourless if not a little fresh(??). I'm not to sure sorry.
I found them close to the beach - less than two km away. In a relatively low altitude area <250m
And I do have pictures but the upload link isn't working for me unfortunately. Is it against the rules to link to an image hosting site because I am able to do it that way. Thank you to those in advance that even considered looking at my post

Names don't really help I am sorry. What would be of greatest assistance would be if you can tell me if they're going to let me have fun.

If by "Fun" you mean trip, nope.
And Panaeolus antillarum is my guess.

This link can help - http://www.shroomery.org/8461/Which-psilocybin-mushrooms-grow-wild-in-my-area
Next you should learn the proper habitat and season of the species in your area, then get out there and look.

I am assuming you live somewhere near bateman's bay - if so, your temps are still a bit warm. Once it gets down to about 5-7 degrees at night you should have a look for P. Subaeruginosa. The NSW thread has more info and pictures etc.

I'm sorry but how exactly are names not help? You are on the internet posting in a mushroom message board so surely you can copy and paste a name into google and find out all about that particular species. I guess my next question would be how much do you know about magic mushrooms? Do you know anything about mushroom hunting in general?
I'm not trying to be rude. I just gather from your posts that you don't know much about mushrooms in general and I believe that anybody that is new to this should know the basics about hunting mushrooms that you intend to ingest. Some Psilocybe mushrooms grow in the same habitats that deadly poisonous ones do and they can literally grow right next to one another. Another reason this is bad is that in the case of Galerina, they can look very similar to the untrained eye.
I would suggest you get a good field guide to mushrooms, preferably a regional one for your area alongside a copy of "Mushrooms Demystified" by David Arora and a copy of "Psilocybe Mushrooms of the World" by Paul Stamets.
Also you should read this thread.
Welcome to the shroomery!

Nah, that's cool mate. Sorry was really stoned this afternoon and couldn't be fucked to do anything. But you're correct. Looked up those books you suggested and found that two of them are available at my university! Cheers for the heads up aswell as the welcome I think I was just so eager to hit anything up that I completely disregarded all common sense. Thank you for the imformation once again!
