Sarah Orne Jewett's Country of the Pointed Firs.
This book really made an impact on my life. I was thrilled at Sarah's use of rhetoric and sentence compositions. Her book inspired me to improve my writing in my journal. If you have any interest in small peaceful coastal towns and incredible imagery then you should pick this book up. When I read it I could almost smell the salty coast which I cherish so much and she describes so beautifully.
Harper Lee's To Kill a Mocking Bird
What an adventurous book! I absolutely loved this book. It was so interesting to read about the trivial adventures of a child. Reading this book was kind of like looking at the world through a childs eyes. I was inspired by Atticus Finch and his integrity and determination.
Sara Gruen's Water for Elephants
I am currently halfway through this book. My girl wanted me to read it so we could watch the movie on Friday together. I have to admit its a very interesting book. Its a very fun and strange story of a young man who leaves college to join a traveling circus. I love the brutal lifestyles depicted in this book. It makes me feel very fortunate.

Especially "Anubis Gates," I don't know why anyone else would ever bother writing a time travel novel after that.
Hell yeah man he's my favorite novelist of all time. I always recommend him but people rarely know who he is or give a shit. At least we know what's up everyone else is missin out.

"The praise of Folly" by Erasmus Roterodamus, outstanding book.
Apart from that I enjoyed anything by Huxley, although "The doors of perception" may give a good insight. I also like Hunter S. Thompson, he as a fantastic way of writing.
