what the fuck was that??

weirdest thing happened to me today... I was having a nap, and managed to get an OBE outta the deal, that ended, I woke up for a few seconds and fell back asleep... or something
this was similar to sleep paralysis, but not even close to feeling the way it usually does... I mean, I couldn't move a muscle, except for my eye's, which were wide open... but there were absolutely no crazy vibrations, hallucinations or funny feelings, I just couldn't move.
here's the weirdest part... it felt like I was moving, but I couldn't see my limbs, I could see my arms by my side, but it felt like they were moving like normal... I was waving my had in front of my face, but I couldn't see it... totally weird...
another thing that separated it from my normal sleep paralysis experiences, was the fact that I could vocalize just like normal, no strain to make a sound... I coulda had a conversation with someone... my gf finally heard me calling her name (she was sleeping on the couch downstairs), so she came upstairs and was looking at me, just like "what?" I told her to touch me... as son as she did I snapped out of it... she said I looked and sounded totally normal, like I was just laying on the couch talking to her.
now this lasted quite awhile... I remember hearing the phone, but of course I couldn't answer it... when I finally did snap out of it, I looked at the call, and it had been about 45 mins
it was pissing me off because I had to be somewhere shortly, but I couldn't snap out of it for the life of me... I was starting to think I was gonna be like that forever
it was fucked
this ever happen to anyone else?
again... this felt nothing like sleep paralysis, except for the fact I was paralyzed.

Makes sense to me. Physiologically this is what I would expect of sleep paralysis.
You experienced some of what its like to have brain damage. You know you should be able to do x, but x never happens. So even tho everything is firing, some crucial aspect is not getting the message. People with damage in speech centers experience this sensation with speech. They know the word they want to say, they know which muscles to move, but for all the world they cannot make the word come out.
When asleep, the body limits communications through inhibiting chemicals. The signal can send just fine, but its energetic strength is cut short of certain destinations by inhibitors. So the signal to move was likely sending just fine, only before it reached the motor cortex it was cut short. Other areas of the brain were likely still receiving the signal fine.

I know... but, when I usually get sleep paralysis, I feel like I got 10000000 volts of electricity coursing through me, with a ton of other weird noises and shit goin on and I can't even make a peep no matter how hard I try...
I could talk just fine and see just fine, and felt 100% normal, other than the fact I couldn't move.
I understand how sleep paralysis works on physiological level, and have it quite often, have since I was a kid... this felt completely different.
think it's anything to worry about?... I've taken some severe blows to the head recently, and much more in the past.
hopefully I'm not brain damaged...

You were partially out of body. You were moving the limbs of your subtle body, but your eyes were out of paralysis (not relaxed/asleep), hence you could not see with your astral sight (or your physical sight was overlaying the experience). It's actually quite common for people to get stuck like this. If you would have closed and relaxed your eyes, "rolling out" of your body would have initiated a full projection.

that's kinda what I was thinking... I've had this happen before, but I could move my 'real limbs' if I wanted to... I wasn't stuck in paralysis... just deep in trance
and I was trying to exit... wasn't working, I would close my eyes and try what you described 'rolling out' but nothing would happen... I would open my eyes again and just be stuck there still... strange feeling

I'm curious to see if I can cause it again... i just don't want to get stuck for 45 mins or more again

Yea, I used to have trouble with the rolling out too. But my last few experience I just "went with it" and it worked. I'd say you probably couldn't get sufficiently relaxed because of the excitement of the experience, and this kind of locked you in body (anchored by the eyes and other points). It's very cool how our consciousness can simultaneously split between the physical and subtle realms. Tom Campbell would go out-of-body while driving his motorcycle.

see the thing is... I rarely have a problem with exiting, and the feeling of paralysis i get is totally different, like I said, it usually feels like I have 100000000 volts going through me, it's super intense... this time I felt totally normal, other than the paralysis... and the fact i could just talk to my gf like normal was totally whacky
and I wasn't exactly 'excited'... I was just kind of like "k..WTF.. is going on?"... more annoyed then anything
but yeah, now that you mention it.. it definitely felt I was anchored by my eyes... my head was the only limb I couldn't 'move' even though my eyes were working perfectly fine.
so weird.

not on purpose I hope... that just seems like a real bad idea
