Rooting on its side...

I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to cacti, so I'm in need of some advice from you guys.
I have a few (3) bridgesii starting to root, but one of them has decide to pop roots out on its side. All 3 are sitting upright, in bone-dry soil, and have been for a couple weeks now. Before that though, they were left on their sides for a few weeks, as I didn't have time to mess with them.
Is this going to cause problems? Should I place the one on its side and let it root that way?
Here's a couple pics for reference:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is the bottom rooted at all? It's throwing out roots on the side cause it's looking for water.
If the bottom is rooted then I'd say give it a drink, otherwise you could root that one on its side to get some variation. Good luck.

I would just plant it upright most of the roots that are growing will end up under the soil any way. You probably have more moisture in the air than in your soil so it has thrown roots out the side.

Yea, it has a few roots poking out the bottom as well. Nothing huge quite yet, but they're there.
I'm kinda leaning toward leaving it upright, as long as it won't be detrimental to its growth. Would giving it a light watering at this point be a bad idea, or should I just leave it be for a bit?

I'd say give it some H2O, brother.

I would leave it upright and give it a drink if it has roots in the soil already.
