I'm no expert, but my guess would be that the blue is "bruising" or oxidation of certain compounds within the white mycelium. This could be due to too-low humidity in the fruiting chamber, but that is just a guess. How's your humidity?

Def sounds like a humidity problem. What's your set up? That can help us all give you a better solution. Sometimes increasing the amount of cakes you put in there will also drastically increas the humidty...not saying you should grow more or anything

Bruising on cakes is almost 100% a humidity issue especially if its on the corners of the cake. But as stated above make sure your FAE is correct as well. Any chance of some pictures?

Your cakes are probably drying out (probably due to low RH, like the other folks have said). You can pick a cake up and you should be able to tell by the weight if it's overly dry.
You could probably give 'em quick dunk, pins and all, if you like. Or you can just up the misting and moisten the perlite a bit more to get it through the flush, then give 'em a nice long soak.

Yea, i'd go ahead an give 'em a soak, it might set things back a few days, but your fruits will be healthier because of it. You may not need the entire 24 hours, it all depends on how dry they are to begin with. Letting them soak over night is probably sufficient.
As far as your FC goes, did you follow this tek to the "T"? Because if so, you shouldn't have any problems with RH. Are you using a hygrometer, and if so, is it analog or digital? What's does it read (on average)?
The lid not fitting properly could be causing some problems, but unless there are huge gaps between it and the chamber, I wouldn't think it'd be that much of an issue.

I use saran wrap all the time I have it on two of my FC's right now just make sure you spray the outside of the bin so the raran wrap sticks good.I really think you should get a calibrated hydrometer though instead of guessing

Agreed. For all you/we know, you're RH may be ok, but you may have prepped the cakes wrong and they were a little on the dry side to begin with. Not saying that's the case, just putting it out there.
But yea, go to your local cigar shop or order one online. You can get a pretty decent analog hygrometer for around $10. Stay away from digital versions. If you really wanna go all out, pick up a "hair hygrometer", synthetic or otherwise. They cost $40-50, but properly calibrated, you can't get any better when it comes to an accurate reading.
