I have a couple coco coir casings that are done colonizing and I want to put them in my outdoor garden. I live in Florida and the garden get about 6 hours or direct sunlight. I water it every 3 days and my plan was to just dig out a small area and place the casing in and add some of the potting soil from the garden on top. Can anyone who has grown outside give me any suggestions to this?

You shouldn't need much help growing cubes in Florida really.

Hey bro, when you're doing outdoor beds you can do exactly what you plan on doing. But, if you want to possibly give those casing an extra boost take some compost or something and when you dig your holes surround the casing with the compost and all that and then either put mulch or the potting soil like you planed on top. I usually use some verm mixed in with the potting soild on top just take make it a little lighter when it gets wet so I don't discourage growth in dense areas (because they may not pin through if its really thick, which is why mushrooms many times are not abundant in nature [also for many other reasons]). Either way, your plan is totally fine, figured I'd add the tid bit about the verm and usuing some more compost just as a pointer on getting more bang for your buck in a sense.
