i wouldn't even be picking them up and handling them if i were you. make sure you wash your hands well if you have or do handle them.

Unnecessary. You can even put one in your mouth or nibble on it and taste it, as long as you refrain from swallowing any.

Im not sure if that' the best advice for some people on here
But seriously, don't the toxins get absorbed through the mouth too?

There are many people here that have done the chew test with A. phalloides and ocreata, so I don't believe there is a problem with amanitin getting absorbed through the tissues of the mouth.

I did a chew/taste test of an unidentified mushroom that turned out to be a deadly Galerina species. I'm still here . See this thread:
I put a tiny piece of the stem in my mouth, chewed until I could taste the mushroom, and then spat out the material. No ill effects noticed at all.

Several of our TIs have done that, and posted as much! It's safe, assuming you don't have an uncontrolled swallowing problem.
I'm not so interested in the flavour of deadly mushrooms, so I won't be trying it, but it isn't necessarily a bad or stupid thing.

Gee man, it looks like a partially dried cybe, but that picture is a bit out of focus.
This is NOT an ID thread, read the title. Open up a new thread requesting for an Identification and read the forum rules on ID's (Gumbys thread stickied at the top of the first page of the hunting section). You've also posted in a thread which is 7 years old.
The should be a link which tells you to get a description of each part.
Dont be lazy and just post pics of mushrooms. Its annoying and disrespectful. Put SOME effort in reading the code of conduct in these forums if you want something out of it.
Excuse, this isnt personally at you but a lot of people have been doing what you have lately.
