The trail to my Bicycle Day, April 22.

The glorious bicycle day is something that I had never heard of til 2 days ago in a post by the super "veggie" speaking of the accidental dosing of Sir Albert Hoffman. The humor arose when, though not on the exact day, I had planned a trip weeks in advance for April 22nd. I am a full time tax payer and dad, making it nearly impossible for a mid week venture. Once again, not the exact day, but couldn't help but think of how curious it was that the tumblers will all fall into place shortly after( for myself, that is). Extra day for the weekend, gramma is taking the children for the weekend and a trip (literally speaking) set for Mizzo to the deep woods for old friends and trail stomping. This spawned great joy in my heart. I felt it fitting to post my journey to a very special day with very special meaning( at least more so, now). I will post my daily activity in the hope to increase the meaning and depth of the journey to pay tribute to a man that has helped open the minds of millions and brought a chemical doorway for healing the masses.
Modifications had to be made for my situation and availability (mushies, dose is not available), but the respect is still there. I look forward to any and all to chime in in the quest of bringing others enlightenment and aid in helping make any day, such as this, a memorable day. So please help me in this task. Your rituals, prepatory doings, diets, daily attire and thinking, emotional curbing or avoidance and everything in between is welcome. And, if you have suggested changes to the things that I have done or will be doing, please post. Sort of a compilation of "to do" lists in a less consticted manner (no "black and white" list out of a textbook), free form like the mental state while under Its power.
This posting, in itself, is a release agent to help this energy flow. So bring everything, bash or boast, to the table.
Details to my frapshious day; Location: Missouri- deep woods in the hills. Company- life long friends and "family". Dose- (keep in mind, Im a lightweight) 3 grams dried PE from a "special" harvest . Time of day- start around 6pm.
Now, lets begin........
9:30pm April 17- Began cleaning house. Finishing ironing clothes in preparation for kids visit. Goal, by the end of the week is to have no inside tasks( other than home repairs) left to do. Front room is already picked up and ready for sweep and mop. Goal tonight is to finish dining room. Includes statement above and organizing table and cleaning kids table. Supper included strawberries and 2 cups of yogurt( vanilla, organic) with water.

Sounds awesome! I personally am celebrating Bicycle day by camping with friends. I have two hits of acid, and there will of course be weed and probably beer too. Then, Wednesday night I'm going to a party for 4/20. Its gonna be a good middle of the week.

Sounds great! I forgot about 4/20. Ive been shut away from my herb.
I have begun to see that I have set too high of a bar for the first day, having started late and all (when your day starts at 5am, this is late). Got most of the clothes done and have begun starting on the tables. *Note to self* Gauge time for tasks. Do not overdue things and cause a disappointment. Making goals has increased my productivity and pleasure which will help build me up for the rest of the week.
Every night will end with 30min of zen meditation to clear the work of the day.
Work on impulse reactions to things needed for the next day. So nothing is forgotten.

New day. Last release of sexual energy this morning (no details left out). Obstain from all vices for the remainder of the week. Thought staying in bed a little longer (30min) would be a plus but turned into a minus. Got the kids out late and forgot oldest's medicine. For all potentially negative outcomes, using techniques discovered through meditation to keep mind on track and focus in the future to the final day and task. Constantly looking into a positive experience.
Though late getting up, not late getting to work. Stayed focused on knowing that I would be on time.
Only having one bowl of cereal for this and all mornings. Focusing not on the satisfaction of taste but the satisfaction of being full. Also, switched from the usual fruit loops to something a little more nutritious , total, and will being getting an organic cereal soon as I can make it to the store.
Diet will be a main focus for all days. Through many trials, have found that my diet dictates more in my day than even the weather. Looking to eat whole foods and organic whenever possible. Fresh veggies, not THEE VEGGIE, and staying away from fatty meats( I love Wendy's) and snacks.
Also, will start all days with some stretches to help blood flow and improve mood.

To me its like the equivalent of a national day of psychedelics in the western culture. Im considering getting it on tommorow, we'll see about the weather and other factors. Taking it as it comes, nothing is for certain and Im free.
OP, 22 april. better late than never, have fun

The comments are very much appreciated. Hope that everyone can enjoy there bicycle day.
April 18th evening
With the start of the day being difficult, the middle was even worst. The materials that I had obtain for a client from another store were incomplete! This was an after hours exchange so I was unaware til the customer was in to p/u. Staying focused on the day, diverted the situation and fixed it with little to no time wasted.
In an effort to free up more time, did something fast for supper(McDonalds, uhh). Made sure to get a salad for myself. Did everything possible give as much positive reinforcement to the kids to help keep stress down (This is beginning to become a model for everyday life. Makes things easier). My children are always thought of during a trip. The utmost adherence to not yelling and consistency is key for the next few days. Contacted my friends brother to confirm his request to ride with me down to the woods. Finished more tasks so now the house is beginning to look its best. Placed all materials that I need to take to goodwill or give back to my mother by the door so I wouldn't forget them; continuing my efforts to leave no stone unturned and no job undone so my mind can be free. Meditated then went to bed.
April 19- the official Bicycle day.
In an effort to remove all negative situations, didnt try to muscle with the kids in eating breakfast. My schedule has them up at 5am. They dont go to daycare til 7 and they do breakfast there. Plus, they can eat at my gma's. Looking at every venue to remove stress and aggrevasion.
Its doom and gloom (storming) where Im at so should be a quiet day.
For all of those celebrating today....WWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo! Make the best of it! Hopefully you are not getting shitty rain like I am.

On April 19th, 1943, Albert Hoffman intentionally ingests his brand new product in a self-experiment. This product was known as LSD. He took the acid, and rode his bike home. The bike trip (pun intended) was the first ever LSD trip in the history of man kind.

Well, first INTENTIONAL LSD trip. He accidentally tripped on the 16th, first.

Ah, good point. Didn't he accidentally soak it in himself through his fingertips or something?

When you're out in the hills, I'll be chillin' on a little jonboat in the country somewhere between 50-200 miles E of you, sending the good vibes! I'm looking forward to hitting those same hills soon- in June I'm heading to the river fork that runs south to the big lake across the border. If you haven't been there, it's amazingly beautiful country down there, and also nice and isolated. Drop me a PM if you want the name of my favorite canoe outfitter.
Sorry to get off topic...if that's possible lol. Enjoy your weekend!

The off topic thing, I guess, really isnt possible . I can feel those vibes already and will carry them with me. May just do the PM, but very busy now. Really shouldnt be writting this, but I must continue what Ive started; just another thing to accomplish off my list.
This evening continued with the diet. Looking to up my metabolism a little with some moderate exercise. Im a huge road cycling fan( "tour to cure" in June and cant wait!) so I will be busting out the rollers and do a 30min ride, shower then meditation. Just enough to break a good sweat. Will continue this up to the day of.
Two days before "the day" must get the most sleep possible. Have found that lack of sleep affects my heart rate while tripping in a bad way( very , very, very, very bad way). Causes negative "fits". Big focus on serious hydration as well. Have to load up on the things that your mind doesnt really focus on while on the trip.
Big thing Ive been dwelling on is making sure that my host doesnt mind me tripping at his house. My good friend doesnt do any of the fun stuff. Though he probably wont mind, I must respect the fact that we dont see each other very much and dont want to be semi insane while Im there if he doesnt want me to. Assuming is not a good thing. Since its a two day venture, not too worried about it, but still. Respect everything and everyone!

Confirmed the trip "ok" to settle that lingering anxiety. Looking to further the diet to just fruits and vegetables. Tomorrow will be a free night to make sure that everything is cared for. Made up my mind that the ginger lemon mint tea is what I will use to ingest. My mint is about 6" now and succulent.
One more day it launch!
HAPPY 420, EVERYONE! LIGHT ONE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The kids have gone with gma, which ,I thought, would lower anxiety, but shortly there after it got worst. The bad vibes from the last trip, which was without kids, creeped up on me. Reminded myself that they are safe and that this is not last time. Went to pay my respects to my daughter that had past and journeyed home. Received my issue of Ziggy Marley's "Marijuanaman" today and am fuck ecstatic! Holding back the urge to open it. Keeping it a collectors item.
Not much else for me to do. Make sure that the bag is packed and that I get tons of sleep tonight. My trail is coming to an end. Will pick my mint just before I leave so its as fresh as possible.
A lot of work with be done on keeping my mind "in the middle" so as to not over excite. This is a great way to failure and cause a large swing in emotion. Stay deadpan like Steven Wright. No expectations going into the final day. Open mind, free form, like water; circular. It will all be ok. Nothingness is a beautiful thing. Expect nothing and everything at the same time. Long meditation for tonight and cut off my hair.

Change. The rain is just too much. Will be doing a day trip the 23rd instead when the weather is looking better. Havent done a day trip in many years. A few games of washers and frisbee with an early easter cook out; Awesome! All is still looking good.
