When I was a kid I watched the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Fat Albert, Heathcliff and Tom and Jerry. Those are all classics in my mind.

first of all this thread is pure gold!
second- does anyone know the name of the animation series of that girl with braces and a family that travels all around the world making documentaries? she could talk to animals and had a monkey as sidekick and a little brother named donny i think. i think she was a ginger, and its a relatively new animation. I'm sure someone has to know the name to this

Ah shit I found it, "The Secret City with Commander Mark". I used to watch the shit out of that in 85-86. Nothing like being taught how to draw and how to draw space crafts.
I know it's not a cartoon but... this thread made me think of it.

well you are right in saying that it was one of the last good shows they aired but it isn't nearly as good as I remember it isn't terrible though some cartoons I almost can't go back and watch (TMNT, Darkwing Duck) it has a great team backing it up but the stories are a little thin
