Hello Everyone,
Today I built myself a glovebox. Nothing fancy at all, but ultra simple and I thought I post it up so maybe others who are new to the game can realize how simple it is to build one and help reduce contamination.
My glove box cost me 0$. This is what you need:
Cardboard box: Free at grocery stores Tape: Tinfoil Cling Wrap A knife
Here are some photo's. There is no need to explain what to do. Its that simple. This is in no way a "new" tek and im sure others have done this long before I.
These photo's may not look like much but this glove box is solid, cheap and functional.

Good job on the cheapo glove box.
My glove box is annoying the hell out of me. I didn't realize that trying to cut holes in the plastic was going to be so time consuming and annoying. First I tried my drill and drilled a bunch of holes in a circle. Now my arm hurts.
Then I learned that you can use a tool called a Dremel. I'm a girl, not a shop rat. So I went out to Walmart and got a cordless one for $20 plus the cutting attachment. At home I opened it up and learned that the attachments didn't fit. I have no idea why they sell this thing with a part that isn't the proper size for the attachments that come with it. So I plugged it in to charge and went off to the Home Depot to get the proper stuff. I came home with the right stuff.
After it charged for 3 hours I grabbed it and started in on my first hole which was already half full of holes from my drill. This tool ran out of juice on the first hole. I had to charge it again before starting on the next hole, which I ended up drilling a bunch of holes in again, because it was easier. I couldn't get the Dremel charged up enough to cut the second hole all the way and ended up using my knife to finish cutting it out. Tomorrow I'm going to try sanding down the rough edges.
I should have just bought a coffee can. It sounds a lot easier and faster now. Or I should have bought one of those attachments for my drill that makes holes. My cordless drill has some great power and good torque. Live and learn a guess. It's the best way to learn. I just wish I knew the cordless Dremel was crap and that I could get the other part for my drill.

im sorry but cardboard cant be sterilized by alcohol and anyway the inner parts of the cardboard can house many different bacteria witch you cannot sterilize. when we take our orders into the sterile area we remove from the cardboard box wipe down then some other tedious stuff to stock the compound room. you will not see 1 cardboard box in a sterile area. is a good idea but i don't think you will have such success without losing to contaminants.

Cheap, GOOD glove box....
Buy a plastic tote. (Clear for best results) Cut two holes in it.. (big enough for your arms) Attach rubber gloves if you want...
ta da.... a damn glove box ready for you to work in.
