Fresh mushrooms going black?

I purchased some atlantis truffles from a well known vendor based in holland! They shipped them fresh and they were in air tight packaging. This was my first time doing shrooms and I opened them up to have some and put the packet back in my pocket for about 5 minutes. When I removed them from my pocket I had noticed they had started to discolour and go black in some areas, I put them in the fridge, will they be ok? The black is not like a furry mold or anything, and was only on the surface. Thanks in advance.

Wait so you opened them up with out planning to scarf em down? They are in those air tight packages to hold mositure. Truffles are impossible to just eat when dry. You have to take a damn hammer IMO and dust them. Fucking rock hard truffles broke my coffee grinder. And you know how when you open bannanas or bite an apple they brown/black. Its just from the oxygen. Your truffles are fine, mine did the same thing. Same speices and maybe same vendor. Don't eat more then 15g for a casual time in my opinion. 18g was uncomfortably potent.
Hope that helped. If you have anymore truffles that are opened don't let em dry out. Put them in a airtight bag then air tight container and refrigerate.

Thank you so much, I'm new to all of this and you've really helped! I ate some of them but not all of them, as I wanted to test the waters and I must say I had a lovely time was just scared I had wasted the rest of them. Now that they have been opened how long will they last roughly in the fridge? They are still in the plastic wrapper and have been wrapped up tight and taped to cover the hole?
