LC Disaster

Today I tried making a syringe using some LC I had grown, though a honey LC tek. This was my first good LC after many failed attemps so I was very excited to finally have it work. This is where everything went to shit.
Using a still air box made of cardboard, I went to work. I forgot to put a marble in my LC and didnt realize how hard it would be to get it into my needle. Which is a thin gauged needle. So as I tried to suck up the myc, the needle would only suck in air!! and when i would release the plunger it would just blast all the air back out. I couldnt suck anything in? Why did this happen?
To make matters worse in my frusteration i accidentily knocked over my fucking LC! loosing half of it. So now im really in a jam, just ruined my still air box. So my only option (that I could think of was to unscrew the needle from the syringe and suck the myc into the needle using the much wider hole (not through the needle. To do this i had to dunk in the whole need and who knows how unsanitary that was. It did work and now I have two syringes fulll of myc.
How likely is it that i contaminated it? And why or why was my needle only drawing in air?
This was an LC from hell

Your syringe might have a little leak in the rubber seal, or in the goop they use to cement in the needle in

well i had two different syringes ready and they both reacted that way. I had 2 holes in my lid covered with polyfill but i had to open but my lid when i decided to suck the myc in from syringe opening after i unscrewed the needle.
There was No way the myc would suck in through the needle at all i had to open the lid

Well I dont know how sterile you are when working with this stuff, but im sure if done right youd be okkay. Wouldn't really recommend taking the needle off, but guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
Just remember the marble next time, and get some bigger needles.

Believe me I wont even think about doing this without a needle again, or a large syringe, this was never emphasized in any tek I read which is a bit ridiculous because its pretty crucial IMO

Hey, live and learn. You know what your doing now atleast. As far as it being contaminated or not, its always in the air. Gotta test it out.

on the plus side though, since you spilled the lc all over the cardboard box its just a matter of time til you can fruit that cardboard.
Don't think of the LC being half empty. think of it as being half full.
