Hello everyone.I'm getting kinda interested in psychedelics and i would want to try some. But there's a problem. The psychiatrist told me that my serotonin is lower than the avarage.Right now i'm on Zoloft medication.I feel mostly sad than happy.I don't find myself as a very stable person.I have bad trips on weed. So,i'm looking forward to your opinions on wether to try them or not,or how to stabilise myself and stuff like that.Thank you in advance.

Yea, that is a tricky situation. There is really no way of telling how psychedelics will effect a person. The experience varies with every single person. For example. my friend and I each took 2 hits of LSD. He cried and puked all night, and I had a great time.
I know there have been studies that say some psychedelics have been tested as treatment for depression. Uhm, I believe that a low dosage of mushrooms will be good for you. Don't start out super strong. Take a small to normal dosage of a psychedelic to try it out and see if you like it.
I would take a half of an 1/8th to 1/8th of shrooms. My first time, I took half an 1/8th and I had a fantastic time. Or I would take just 1 hit of LSD and see if your ready.
Hopefully you will be ready. Good luck brother.

Sometimes, psychedelics can be extremely therapeutic in cases of depression. However, instability can sometimes be worsened by psychs.
I think you'd be okay to try out certain things, but tread lightly. Start low. A half 8th of shrooms is a great starting point, then as you become more comfortable, work your way up.

Prolonged use of an SSRI will downregulate your 5-HT2A receptors. These receptors are the main target of psychedelic drugs so the effects will be diminished.
If you feel unstable you should be careful with experimenting.

IMO antideppresants are worse than psychadelics, I've seen what they've done to my brother, but ur topic pretty much says it, if ur not ready, ur not ready, although I Can't say I was entirely ready either. Just DON'T start out with salvia, shrooms and MDMA are ur best bet, as far as stabilizing yourself, try to be around something u love and have a strong connection with,... I trip outside next to my truck, those things u love will keep u in the light and help, but not prevent, a slip into the dark side of psychadelics. Also I would assume tripping with parents or gf/bf's would be calming.
