Not mine, but interesting nevertheless.
Quote:
Viktor Frankl said:
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual."
"Live as if you were living already for the second time and as if you had acted the first time as wrongly as you are about to act now!"
"Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success: you have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long-run, success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten to think about it."

If there's any meaning at all, I think it's just to be happy.

the only reason we are obsessed with 'meaning' is because we have a word for it (attatched to multifarious personal connotations), and seek to fulfill it

So does getting a vasectomy and not reproducing cause me to mess up the meaning, or is that nature?
Are all things humans do not natural? How could anything not be?
Lots of people tag onto human actions as being a destructive force for our civilization and to nature, and that we are the virus of nature, forgetting the fact that we are a part of nature and that anything we do is natural even if our actions seems to go be going against the wind.

you can't write or I can't read.
I have seen some things that are not natural. Well okay they where but they where just not average or necessary.

Indeed. People forget that humans are just as much a part of the circle of life as any other animal. Our actions only seem irrational because we have the ability to analyze them.

The purpose of life is to realize your inherent connectedness to all other beings and matter. There exists no objective purpose, nor may any meaning be derived, other than what can be had by the direct experience of love; dissolution; the realization of the All.

humans are a part of the circle, sure comparable to cancer cells, taking nature and permutating it wildly, destroying tissues.

Metaphors are interesting although can't necessarily be used to compare two extremely different forms of life.

There is no meaning to life. It's just a process.

I think we only attribute meaning to life because our brains allow us to. We think too much into it. I know it sounds bleak but that doesn't mean I don't still enjoy life, whether or not it has a meaning.
