I've read mixed reviews about this medication, and am just wondering about what people here have to say about it.

Yeah I've read experiences like this on Erowid, but I've also read some positive ones. I'm also trying to get Adderall but my psychiatrist wants me to try this first.
Was there really nothing good about it? Some people say it feels pretty good, especially when you get high...

I only tried it for less than a week, and I believe to get the full effects you are supposed to at least do it for a week, but it really made me edgy, and weird feeling.
Like I would snap at people, because it gave me mood shifts, it was weird, and not my regular self.
If you want to get Adderall then you may want to go with the B/S, and maybe even not bother taking the Straterra, and a week later tell your doctor how hellish it is, and how it changes who you are, and the mood shift thang, and maybe he will put you on Adderall next.
Everyones body chemistry is different; some people lack certain enzymes that are needed in order to feel euphoria from certain drugs, so
Personally for me, I wouldn't even bother with Adderall, considering uppers usually end up making me more depressed after they wear off.
I know that a certain synthetic opiate (tramadol) works like a charm for ADD symptoms for me, I just enjoy doing whatever, plus it can work great as an anti-anxiety and antidepressant. And it But I don't think it's something psychiatrists would consider prescribing.

I have to wait like a month before I see my psychiatrist again--if I don't like it, then I'll tell her that it made me feel like shit.

I tried it after I told my doc to cut me off of Dexedrine because I began abusing it again.
Only took it once, but it made me extremely agitated and anxious. I was NOT a person you would want to be around during that day. So needless to say, I didn't take it again.

Ahhh, I see. Yeah Good luck on gettin' the thangs you want.
It really doesn't take luck though lol. If you really want something, you can get it. That's how I ended up gettin' scripts for thangs. And one of them was just handed out to me like a gift from heaven.

Hopefully it works for me--I remember how you said that Effexor gave you bad side effects, so I'm hoping that Strattera will work for me.

I would make suggestions to my doctor, like telling them my friend took that particular med with great results or that certain medications made me violently sick (thats how I'd get Percocet or Dilaudid instead of Vicodin).
Be creative. You don't have to scam your doc, just make suggestions. Take what they want to give you and modify it slightly so you get what you want.
Looking back on it now though, thats how I got addicted to ALL SORTS of pills. Ever hear the phrase "too much of a good thing"? Well the reason there's not an ending to that is because whoever said it nodded off in mid sentence.

I have ADD but was only recently got diagnosed. I was prescribed Strattera and am, to say the least, disappointing. I have got Focalin from a friend in the past and it made a world of difference. Adderall helps too but Focalin in my opinion is better.
I am gunna give the Strattera a shot but I am going to have to find a doc that's gunna prescribe me Focalin.

Focalin is to Ritalin as Dexedrine is to Adderal.
It's basically a bit stronger than ritalin.
If you want the real deal ADHD drug, try Dexedrine. It's stronger and more focused, with less side effects.
But still carries the same risk of dependancy and addiction that any stimulant or amphetamine carries. So take my advice with a grain of salt.
