in high doeses it has an itch like opiates mixed with a euphoric feeling.
the chick that i gave some to took 3 capules (aprox 1.5 g) of maeng da and was slurring her words must be nice.
the lucid herb has awesome customer service.. i highly recomend them for first timers seems like prices are in the ball park but the customer service is hands donw.

You can still over do it though, so careful. Puking isn't ruled out.
I'm going with leaf, the general consensus is that this is the best route. I'll eat it. Like everything else good in this world, it is probably an acquired taste.

It feels like a mild opiate, with additional emphasis on the physical profile and a decrease in the euphoria department (IME).

Thanks! 5 shrooms to you. I actually like the opiate itch.

I bought 25g extract powder from there. Since I make my own magic capsules, I'll just do the same with the Kratom. I know everyone says the leaf is better bang for the buck but I hate screwing around with teas and shit. 80 bucks with shipping for 25g.

I think this is actually dose-dependent rather than strain or "vein type" dependent. Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine are the only alkaloids. IME, lower doses are sedating - higher ones give you weird but pleasant energy (and make sleep difficult).

Thai is stimulating, Bali/Indo is sedating.

This almost mirrors the two cultures. Thailand has a busy fast-paced nation full of kick-boxing, tons of sex tourism, and migrant workers abroad, while Indonesia/Bali is typically portrayed as more sleepy and laid back with massage and meditation centers.

to me kratom is kratom. I have tried it all. If you want the most out of it. Get crushed leaf, I normally get 4oz at a time. CHEW the leaves if you want the most out of this amazing plant. I don't know what it is but when you actually chew the leaves then eat it you feel the most euphoric. I don't care for the extracts or the capsules or anything else except the powder and the crushed leaf. I don't chew them anymore unless I want that really really nice euphoric opiate high otherwise it's just too much trouble plus it's not good for your teeth as it seems to eat away at your enamel if you do it a lot like I did. It's acidic. Now that's why I've been back and forth to the dentist recently.

Well, I got my 25g shipment in the mail yesterday. I took about 9 grams of the X15 extract. It was pretty good. It had similar effects to hydrocodone (including itching and nodding). My stomach on the other hand was really upset for about an hour. I also was jittery and shaky at first, but that subsided as well. At first I tried loading the extract into capsules, which definitely was not worth the effort. That stuff is really sticky and a pain to compress. They also sent me a 14g sample pack of the Maeng Da powder. I will try that next to see which one I like better. I ordered from The Lucid Herb Kratom Cafe and I was very very happy with the service and speed of the transaction. All and all I am pretty happy with my first experience.

I've been experimenting with Kratom too, but I got mine through a different vendor. An ounce each of 5 different strains for $35 wasn't too bad. Definitely a fan of the Red Vein Borneo. White and red vein sumatra don't last as long for me, and the green malaysian was AWESOME! I've been playing around with blending and found that the white vein Sumatra and the Red vein Borneo go quite well together. It seems to me that Kratom is one of those personal preference things, one strain some people won't like but others will, and another strain only goes well if combined with other strains ect ect. It seems like its a trial and error kind of deal, and eventually you'll find a strain or mixture that you like. Its such a pleasant feeling too. Not quite opiate in strength, but just a general sense of euphoria and well being (for me at least).
