Have found a few clusters as of late myself. Small ones, however, of 4-6 fruits each time. My question is in regards to proximity. I have read that once they have been found that more should be within a certain range nearby. The question in not how far, but whether or not this has been true for many of you guys with successful finds. My finds have been in one small area of man made landscaping beds with a wood mulch base. Thanks in advance.

I didn't know weilii really grew in wood mulch, I saw some pretty big mushrooms last week in some wood chips that looked like weilii, but there was a lot of people walking by so I didn't investigate and I figured since it was woodchips it probly wasn't weilii anyway but now I'm thinkin about goin back there

Btw, I went looking through my yard today (some unexplored areas) and saw a bunch of pinestraw with broken down pines half standing trees, along with a few healthy trees. So I started picking up all the pinestraws and woody debris and found some spiderman-web thick looking mycelium so I started watering them with my water bottle and planted them back in their positions........
Bout to go HAMburgers mane' lmao, whenever the water gets cut back on im hosing that whole area down for a good 15-20 mins. Any advice, ideas, and suggestions?

While running today an old injury came back to haunt me so I got to walk 2 more miles and figured I would keep an eye out. Any chance this is weilii? I could only grab one since I was in running shorts with no pockets.

Awesome! My first after like 3 years of searching! And they were on a manicured flower area in the woodstock, holly springs area.

It was a patch of fescue with mainly red clay underneath. And on a slight bank slanting down, if that helps.

Are you sure it was fescue and not bermuda?
