Hey guys, has anyone had any luck lately? There has been a lot of rain and I'm seeing mushrooms in everyone's yards lately.
Are Weilii's out yet??

I'm sure they're out and about (reprezintin' Woodstock/Canton area here). My lady and I have been looking repeatedly in a few places to see if any spring up. Been finding a shitload of other types (mostly psathyrella, some amanitas and many many brackets), but nothing active yet.
Eagerly awaiting our very first active find.

well I found some velutina in a neighborhood in Woodstock last weekend, do any of you guys find these at the same time as weilii or do weilii take longer to grow, and are these generally a good indicator of a good weilii spot, I read somewhere on here that if you find these weilii could be nearby and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this

Yeah I'm gonna wait for a few more days of the afternoon thunderstorms and go for a look.. it's not exactly raining enough to produce a good flush in this heat, IMO.... they'll come around soon enough though, usually fall is great for these mushrooms in my experience.

After a few good days of rain, overcast and cool evenings, I went out to a couple patches that normally do relatively well in dryer times only to find no mushroom activity at all. I'm thinking that it was enough rain to get some mycelium going, but not enough for fruiting. If another good rain comes soon, I think things will start to get going. As of right now in my area it's just not enough consistent moisture in the soil yet to get good fruiting. But that's just what I have seen in my areas so far, I dunno about the other areas and other peoples' patches.
I'm in NG county area btw.

You should make the "Official" 2011 Weilii Thread. Well at least if you have a picture or two.

Though I haven't had any luck for P. weilii, but the Agaicus campestris are fruiting by the dozens. Over the past three or four days, nigh 30-40 have fruited at my school.
