What's up guys, checking in from Cherokee County and I've grown very interested in locating some of these things. I'm COMPLETELY new to shroom hunting and such (in fact I've only tripped on shrooms three times in my entire life), so I have absolutely no fucking clue what I'm doing. Can you guys give me some tips on where to look for Weilii? How exactly to identify them and differentiate them from something that would kill/sicken me? How you get away with poking through people's lawns in broad daylight? And so on and so on. I have no knowledge at all of mushrooms; all of the pictures posted that are supposedly this same species don't seem to look very similar at all to me so I'm just sort of like "what the fuck."
any answers provided to my retarded novice self would be very VERY appreciated.

Found a few in the grass but they really dont grow abundantly there until the bermuda really greens up completely. I usualy start finding them in the pinestraw, clay and wood debree first, then the grass patches begin to fruit. It really depends on the weather how the season goes, if there is alot of rain and humidity it doesnt really matter what time of the season it is. I have found them from now all the way thru the summer to november and december before. Just gotta have the right conditions. Im going to check All of my patches today, this week should be good.

I would like to see one growing in the grass. I took the ones i found and crushed them and mixed them in soil under some bushes. Doubt anything will happen...who knows though.
Has anyone started a weilii thread? If so post the link. Thx and gl all.

God dammit I can't find these shits. I have this annoying hunch that they're RIGHT by me, like I'm JUST BARELY missing them whenever I go out looking. And I'm in fucking Cherokee County so that hunch is probably right. Gahh I wouldn't know how to differentiate them from poisonous shit anyway, CURSE MY NOOBINESS

I've looked there too to no avail.Just keep trying. Anywho, it's probably too dry to be finding them in numbers from my readings. Everything else is dry as a bone around here.

Well at least his week end looks good for rain. How much is enough though, is there a certain amount we should be looking for before going out again?

Well obviously the last rain we got wasn't enough. So, we're going to need a really good amount.. + it's going to need to cool down for at least a few days straight. -- This is why Fall is truly the prime time for Weilii.. Once it cools down & precipitation picks up they WILL fruit. It's all a matter of conditions as stated before, you can find them almost year round if the conditions are right.... I have a feeling fall is going to be amazing. Right around august is when I usually start finding them in substantial numbers. & to EyeLoveMusic ; once you've been hunting weilii for a long time there is absolutely no mistaking them , they have a smell like no other mushroom, truly bruise blue, and have brown waxy caps. They just scream psilocybe.
