Yes, but you don't live in an area where liberty caps are common. Also, even if they did pop up this far South, it would be in Winter.
Can you get those pics up?

Those are all P. weilii to my eye. Still, you're finding more than just about anyone else this season. Nice finds for sure!!!

Psilocybe atlantis is a very rare mushroom indeed. It's only recorded from one county in this state.
Also, the cap for atlantis is more conical and with a more prominent umbo. Weilii is more campanulate when young.
One more thing, if you could please increase the exposure on your camera; those pics are so dark that it's difficult to really see them well.

electrik sole said: Well looks like maybe it's a little tougher than previous years. Here is some stuff I found this weekend. Once again, I brought them home and thought I struck gold. Now I have second thoughts, if these are them there are plenty left. The problem is some lady saw me from her back yard. The trail is a part of the county park and on the end of the woodland trail is one of those powerline situations that lead up to some residential houses. So I am not to sure why she seemed so concerned, we weren't even near her property.
I hope these are them or an active they bruise dark in some areas, I really can't say they bruised blue. I am willing to except another failure. If they look poisonous I need to properly dispose of them to prevent any accidents. These pictures are 36 hours after collection, I couldn't get any pictures until then.

You found lacrymaria velutina. A great indicator species! In my experience when you find these weilii are close by. Keep looking man your getting closer...

Man, landscapers ALWAYS get all the good spots!!! I only hunt when I don't have school or while I'm at school.
It's tempting to work for such a company once I get out of school. I hope you enjoy your finds.
I know the weilii are out 'cause in my yard the Lacrymaria are fruiting by the dozens.

Thanx, good sign
So in a few days I should check that same spot, that lady made me nervous but I will give a go one more time since these are an indicator species. I will make sure to do it at an odd time of day and stay closer to the woods.

I've seen Lacrymaria pop up with no weilii in that given area. I think L. lacrymabunda is more of an indicator for the time period of fruiting rather than being a potential weilii location.
If I am incorrect, please someone with more experience correct me.
