Looking for a mellow, yet insightful trip

Ok. So a newbie here. Yet I must say the amount of respect on this site is almost unheard of. No slamming fellow members, just care and advise. So with that said, I haven't taken any trips since 02. That was 2 days before my fathers funeral (never, ever trip when greiving). 3 hits sent me into such a shame and regret spiral. Looking to try again. I miss the answers I used to get. So what can an olddog (37) do for a mellow, somewhat intense introspective trip? Any advise, dosage rec would help. Go back to 3? Or get my feet wet again with 1? Last trip REALLY messed me up BAD.

whew. if your testing the waters, you probably should start easy, get comfortable with the headspace you used to love. after that work your way up in such increments as you see fit. no one knows better than you how you'll react, even if you only have a very slight idea

I'm going to say you should try mushrooms.
Maybe a little more forgiving, introspective and somewhat intense but not for twelve hours. P cubensis, somewhere between 1-4 grams would be perfect.
As for LSD. whatever you feel comfortable with.
Mushrooms would be great because they last half as long, great introspective visions, and probably would be a nice contrast to your last LSD trip...

I always liked to trip alone. Other people seemed to distract me from the answers. Hell, I could go to the bar and drink with a few friends. No answers to be found there. Only more confusion (and gas).

This.
A low/moderate dose of mushrooms is a lot more mellow than any dose of LSD in my oppinion. LSD is pure energy, the trip in any amount is the commplete opposite of what i'd call mellow. LSD is upbeat and fast paced.

My only problem with shrooms is they always make me sick. Violent throwing up. Then I am "consumed" with the idea that I am sick and need help. Not what I am looking for now.
Low doses of lsd always gave me an intense calm that lead to ideas or thoughts that I may have missed sober. Like a friend offering a counter point. Just want to hear from that friend again.
I've been down the river rapids with nothing to do but ride. But I have always found more value in getting waist deep and thinking it out.

One tab usually is just a tease, more euphoric than pyschadelic or trippy. My 0.02 is to try 1 1/2 or 2 tabs, in a comfortable setting, say out in the woods or in nature somwhere where you won't have any worries. Even though your last trip wasn't great don't let it hamper or influence your next trip. Stay positive and treat every trip as a learning experience (whilst enjoying yourself ofcourse)no matter how bad it was. Have fun, be safe and good vibes your way man!

Leaning toward taking 1, let it set and see what happens. I have access to more so I may take another(or 2) if I am bored. Just trying to avoid another bad trip. Also I really want to be lucid. I want to be a part of the trip. Being a partner in the trip, as opposed to the trip controlling me.

One or two (or better yet just an 8th or so of shrooms) will give you a moderate trip you can control I would think.

Ok starting....... Wow..........nice to be back. Really really nice. I like this feeling. My friend is here. She has missed me.
Loud ringing in my ears, right now. The light upon my computer screen rains clear with truth. My keyboard is angry with regret.
I can see it......damn sam lsd rules!!! I've missed you girl. Happy again.
Low doses rule, boys. they rule! (this post was over the first 1 and half hours of a 2 drop). So happy to be back! God is still alive! And so am I! Or is it early in my trip?

ok two hours in. Want the last hit, yes. After a call from mom, maybe not.
Her cursing and calling me a bum has truly fucked with me. I love her, but she can be nasty. Like she's drunk with telling me Im not the man I was supposed to be.
I am happy to be here again, foes. I am happy, for once.
