Canyonlands area - 1 week of camping and hiking. What are some breathtakingly beautiful places to check out?

I've already been to Zion and it blew my mind. Angel's Landing was the best

No, the water level was too high and cold at the time I went and the only people doing it were wearing wet suits.
I've been to Bryce too, didn't like it as much as Zion but still cool. Besides Bryce and Zion the only other park I've been to bordered Zion, it was less-known and I forgot the name.
I'm planning to explore the Needles this trip. I'm sticking to the Canyonlands area and I'd like recommendations for around there.

I thru hiked the narrows in 09 on a 1g dose of mescaline hcl. needless to say, it changed my life.
if you're going to canyonlands though, that is more than enough to keep one occupied for a week. Without a doubt one of the best national parks there is. I'm hoping to go back and get lost in the maze sometime soon.

Will you have a 4x4 vehicle? Lots of unpaved - low maintenance roads in those parks that can really get you away from the tourists who mostly utilize the scenic overlooks and drive-up camp sites. Get a wilderness permit for The Needles or Islands In the Sky and do one of the loop trails and spend a few nights away from the car campers. No need to do a major thru-trek, but definitely spend a few nights in the peaceful solitude of hike-in only campsite.
There is more than enough hiking & canyons in that area to keep you occupied a lot longer than a week. Don't overdo yourself, carry lots of water and always hike with a friend :-)
Have some Polygamy Porter for me.... You can't have just one! And since it's weak-ass Utah beer, you really can't have just one. You gotta have a lot.

I'll be using my friend's minivan... I'm planning to check out The Needles, don't know about Islands... I'm more into hiking and bouldering then sitting on my ass in a car. Thanks for the advice! Will drink plenty of Polygamy Porters

Got back Thursday night, it was indeed amazing. I camped in a few places, Capital Reef, Canyonlands and a few off the grid campsites. Hiking the needles was best. It feels so refreshing, that change of scenery from a crowded city to orange rocks and desert- just what I needed. That quiet, and darkness at night is pure. I met a few campers along the way from all over the country. Can't recommend it enough!
